Overview

This tour covers my favorite places in Tokyo.
You can choose two places in Tokyo from the list.
Sometimes the chosen places are far apart but I will arrange them in time.

What to Expect

The followings are my favorites but you can request other places too:
(Note: Please take a look at the pictures below, they are in the corresponding order.)

1. Meiji shrine is one of the most popular Shinto shrines in Japan where you will feel a special sacred Japanese atmosphere. ( Entrance fee : free except the garden including the Kiyomasa's well and iris garden with 500 JPY ) You can see more details by visiting my tour for Meiji shrine in Tokyo.

2. Imperial palace used to be Edo castle where Tokugawa shogunate governed Japan for 265 years. ( Entrance fee : free ) You can see more details by visiting my tour for Imperial Palace in Tokyo.

3. There are many shops of Japanese seafood in Tsukiji outer market, you can try some for free. ( Entrance fee : free ) You can see more details by visiting my tour "Food tour to Tsukiji outer market".

4. Asakusa is a very popular shopping street for Japanese souvenirs. There is Sensoji temple with big gates and 5 story pagoda. (entrance fee : free) You can see more details by visiting my tour for Asakusa Sensoji temple in Tokyo.

Important

Not available on Mondays.

Please ask me the availability of this tour before you book it.
The wholesale area of Tsukiji moved to Toyosu on October 11th, 2018 but its outer market stays at Tsukiji where we can enjoy good sushi and delicious Japanese foods.
I have a one day tour to Kyoto from Tokyo, but you have to pay the cost of about 30,000 JPY per person for the transportation of you and me.

This tour is limited version of the full day version under the same name.
Those who not accustomed to walk a long distance or don't have enough time may take this tour to save cost.
East garden of Imperial palace will be closed on Monday and Friday.
Most of shops and restaurant in Tsukiji will be closed on Sunday and Wednesday.
The wholesale market of Tsukiji opens to public from 11:00AM but there are not much fish to see at that time, so I recommed to visit the outer market only.

“ Awesome guide! ”

My husband and I spent the day with Yuki touring Kamakura. We had a great time with Yuki. He was so know knowledgeable of the area and was so patient with us as we continually stopped to shop and eat (he took us to a great local restaurant too). We had such a great day, one we will remember for a long time. I highly recommend using Yuki and his English was great!

Yuki:

Dear Mindy, Thank you for taking my tour and the review with the rating. Those are my favorite places in Kamakura. I planned to take you a papa & mama restaurant, but I am very glad you liked the other one good with Domburi. Best regards, Yuki

“ Great tour even in the rain ”

Yuki-San was very knowledgeable in Japanese history and culture, and his English was excellent! In spite of the rain, he planned the day to ensure we got to experience each of our desired destinations. He was very considerate of seniors in our group, always using escalators/elevators when available and attending to their needs.

Yuki:

Dear Caren, Thank you for taking my tour and write a review. Sorry for the poor weather, but you are lucky to observe the wedding at Meiji Shrine. Please give my best regards to your family and relatives. Yuki

“ Visit of the Imperial Palace ”

He came to pick us up from our hotel, which was very convenient. At the palace, he provided all the informatiom we needed, even showed us slides. After the tour, he suggested a great local restaurant.

Yuki:

Dear Robert, Thank you for taking my tour and write a review. We are now in the rainy season, but the weather was very comfortable without any rain. I enjoyed my lunch at the same restaurant. Please give my best regards to your family. Yuki

“ Great experience ”

Yuki was knowledgeable but at the same time flexible to respond to your personal interest. His energy, professionalism and courtesy were all great assets. I recommend Yuki to all visitors in Japan.

Yuki:

Dear Loc, Thank you for taking my tour and write such a nice review. We went to Lake Kawaguchi to see Mt. Fuji in a cloudy day. You were so luck to take a glance of the mountain in such a poor condition. Best regards, Yuki

“ Imperial Palace Tour ”

Yuki was great! He was so patient with us and all our many questions. He not only took us on the guided tour but also went out of his way to give us tips on how to easily navigate our way around Tokyo, and more!

Yuki:

Dear Patricia, Thank you for taking my tour and write a review so soon. It was a rainy day, but better than the hot summer days. I am glad that we made the special tour of the Imperial Palace. Please enjoy your stay and foods in Japan. Tower knife on the 4th floor of Soramachi shopping center next to Tokyo Sky Tree is the best place to buy Japanese knives. Best regards, Yuki
