Public transportation IS the fastest way of getting around Tokyo. Experience the clean and highly-efficient Tokyo public transportation system!

I divided the tour destinations into three (3) zones: Central, East, and West. Destinations within the same zone are within 30 minutes of each other. (However, it takes roughly 40 minutes to go from the East side to the West side.)

Fire Museum

“ Perfect guide for first day in Japan! ”

Toshi took us out on a half day tour in Tokyo on our first full day in Japan. We went to the Imperial Palace, Tsujiki fish market, and Asakusa. She also taught us how to buy tickets for/use the metro system and order sushi in a sushi restaurant! Toshi gave us lots of tips for the rest of our stay in Tokyo and we really appreciated all of the historical knowledge she was able to share about the sites we visited. We'd definitely recommend her as a guide!

Toshi(T-chan):

Hi Brendan! I quite enjoyed our tour, too. It was a miracle that there was no queue at the Tsukiji outer market restaurant. The counter seats right in front of the sushi chef was the best way to see him at work. Let me show you the new fish market in Toyosu next time! It opens in October 11. Hope to see you again soon!

“ Energetic half day tour ”

We had limited time in Tokyo but also wanted to make sure we got to see the old fish market before it closed as well as some of the newer sites in Odaiba. Toshi was great in showing us around both places. Highly recommend.

Toshi(T-chan):

Hi Zach and Trae! It was fun to see you enjoy My Tokyo! We saw quite an interesting contrast between sights: a combination of the past, the present, and the future. Our day started at the traditional fish market in Tsukiji. We also saw the new fish market buildings in Toyosu which will start operations next month. The view from the front part of the self-driving train was spectacular wasn't it? (One can pretend to be "driving" the train from those front seats.) We were just in time for the scheduled Gundam statue transformation from "unicorn mode" to "destroy mode". Now, that was something! We capped the day with a visit to the Miraikan Science Museum (mirai = future). Come back soon so we can sample the sushi at the Toyosu Fish Market! I can't wait to take you to the best sushi ba... read more

“ Best vacation ever! ”

I visited Tokyo from Washington, D.C., for the first time with my wife and 2 sons (aged 14 years and 5 years). We contacted T-chan and arranged for a 2 day tour across Tokyo and Yokohama. Our experience was excellent and exceeded our expectations! We met with her at our hotel lobby on both days on time and as planned, we used public buses and trains to get to our destinations (which was exactly what we wanted). On the first day in Tokyo, we visited the Meiji shrine, Tsukiji fish market (where we went to a traditional restaurant and had a delicious sushi meal), visited Ginza, Archibara and then the Shibuya crossing where we also took part in the crossing (what an experience!). On the second day, we went to Yokohama and visited the Minatomirai 21 wharf area, Yokohama Landmark Tower (which ga... read more

Toshi(T-chan):

Hi Chima! I quite enjoyed our tour, too. Thank you for bringing beautiful sunny weather with you. It's a Japanese belief that when children behave well, the weather would be great on their next "big event" (e.g. a school trip). Your children must have been on their best behavior prior to the tour as the weather was perfect! The view of Yokohama Bay from the Yokohama Landmark tower was made more breathtaking by the clear skies! Our lunch, Tonkaktsu (fried pork cutlets) was yummy, wasn’t it! Please keep in touch. Next time, let’s visit Kamakura for Zen temples! Hope to see you again sometime soon!

“ Loved our Tour! ”

We loved our tour with Toahi! She was prompt, easy to understand, and you could tell she enjoys what she does. Made our trip productive and enjoyable.

Toshi(T-chan):

I am happy to hear you had a fun day with me, Ralph! Ningyoyaki – a doll-shaped pancake stuffed with sweet bean jam- was tasty, wasn’t it? Japan has rich and unique food culture. I hope to show you Depachika, the food section of the department stores on your next trip! The display is amazingly beautiful like “Food Museum”. You can sample Sake there, too. Come back soon!

“ Great day with Toshi in Tokyo! ”

My Girlfriend and I recently visited Japan for the first time. We started in Osaka/Japan where we hired a guide from TripleLights in that area. We had such a great time with her, when we got to Tokyo, we decided to use TripleLights again, and chose Toshi. Toshi was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and confident. Those of you who don’t know Tokyo, it can be quite a daunting task to navigate your way to all the points of interest, as there are so much to see and every destination is a minor challenge to find (even with a smart phone and TripAdvisor at hand). A lot of time and walking can be wasted as you’re searching for your destination. From the very beginning, Toshi had planned out our route based on the time that we requested, and she knew every little turn, short cuts, and... read more

Toshi(T-chan):

It's great to hear from you again, Dan! I am happy to hear you had a fun day with me! Owls were amazing! They were well trained, weren’t they? Owls are believed lucky birds in Japan. There are more hot spots in Tokyo. A digital art museum is scheduled to open in this month in Tokyo. You need to check it out! Hope to see you again.
