Overview

Senior people have a strong enthusiasm to learn Japanese culture in depth. I will guide you in accordance with your interest. However, you might have physical troubles, or you are out of shape. I will take you only to the places you want to go to. I hope you can feel the essence of Japanese culture.

What to Expect

I will guide you Tokyo in accordance with your interest; not only Japanese history but also Japanese Art history, Japanese architecture history, Woodblock Printing Ukiyoe, the shortest Japanese poem Haiku, Toyosu morning auction, etc. If you want to explore more on the specific culture, please let me know.

On the other hand, you might have physical troubles, so you may be afraid to take a group tour. My tour plans are perfect for seniors searching for more freedom during their Tokyo stay. “ Kids-friendly Tokyo tour ”

We had the most wonderful time with Ms. Mari. Our group had 4 kids under the age of 12. Ms. Mari tailored the itinerary to make sure all activities are kids friendly but at the same time, enjoyable for the adults. Ms. Mari comes well prepared every day with background history to all the places we visited. She patiently explained to our kids and showed maps and related materials to them throughout the tour. She is the most amazing, animated, and responsible tour guide. Thank you, Ms. Mari! Because of you, our Tokyo trip was so memorable!

Mari:

Thank you very much for taking your time to write such a wonderful review. It was my great pleasure to share the enjoyable time with you. I still remembered that your Preston was so warm-hearted to take care of your mother and your Brendel played piano so nicely. I am sure they will have bright future. Thank you again.

“ Extraordinarily Grateful for Mari's Wonderful Guidance ”

Mari was an ideal guide for our first trip to Tokyo. When we arrived at our hotel we had a greeting card from Mari waiting for us at the front desk welcoming us to Tokyo, giving us her contact information and reminding us of our 9am meeting time the following morning. This thoughtful touch illustrates Mari's overall style. She worked hard to make our tour unforgettable by meeting all of our objectives while throwing in some off the beaten path surprises that made our tour very special. She was highly organized while also being flexible to go with the flow and allow for some spontaneous additions to our itinerary. She quickly earned our trust in terms of recommendations particularly in regards to meals. The restaurants she took us to were all extraordinary especially the macrobiotic restau... read more

Mari:

Thank you very much for your wonderful review. It encouraged me as a tour guide. As you prepared your travel plan four months ahead, I understand your needs before meeting. I really think that preparation is important. I am glad all of you enjoyed my tour. I also enjoyed guiding you as all of you are friendly and kind. I was impressed that your daughters are smart and very well-behaved. I still remember your curious and happy faces when you saw the print club” “PRICLA.” I hope you will have a wonderful time on the rest of your journey. When you plan to visit Tokyo again, I would be more than happy to guide you. Thank you again.

“ Excellent tour with Mari ”

We spent a great and enjoyable four hours with Mari touring Meiji shrine and Tsukiji Market. Mari was prompt to communicate ahead of the tour and even left a note with her contact info at our hotel for when we checked in. She went over the fascinating history of the shrine and the market and had us sample two different kinds of tuna with freshly grated wasabi root. She pointed out her favorite vendors in the market. She gave tips about navigating through Tokyo and made lots of suggestions. She was very friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend Mari!

Mari:

Thank you so much for your excellent review. I really appreciate it. I was very happy to guide such a super intelligent family. I am glad all your family members are very friendly. I am happy to know that you liked Tuna tasting. Hope you will enjoy the rest of your staying in Japan to make unforgettable experiences. Thank you again and take care. Mari
