You can make your own itinerary as you like. Tokyo has many interesting and beautiful places. You can select some of these. I can show you around as much as possible. By using Tokyo Metro 24-hour Ticket, you can visit anywhere you want. Also you can learn about Japanese history, culture and life style. And of course, you can enjoy traditional Japanese cuisines.

What to Expect

Tokyo has many sightseeing spots. You can select some of these wonderful places.
1. Asakusa - You can visit Senso-ji Temple famous for its main Kaminari-mon Gate ( Thunder Gate ), where a red huge lantern hangs. There is a shopping street called Nakamise Street, best place to buy traditional Japanese souvenirs and sweets. Also you can visit Asakusa Shrine just next to Senso-ji Temple. You can learn about temples and shrines, or Buddhism and Shinto there.
2. Tokyo Skytree - The tallest freestanding broadcasting tower in the world boasting 634 meters high. There are two observation decks located 350 and 450 meters above the ground.
3. Ueno Park - You can visit Shinobazu pond, Tokyo National Museum, Shitamachi Museum, Ueno Toshogu Shrine and Ameyoko Shopping Streets where you can buy anything you want.
4. Akihabara - Famous for many shops offering electrical equipment and manga, anime-related subculture goods.
5. Ginza - Here is a shopping district lined with luxury boutiques and latest fashion shops as well as casual fast fashion stores.
6. Tsukiji Outer Market - Here is just next to Tokyo Metropolitan Central Wholesale Market which is the largest market in Japan. You can find anything from foods such as fresh fish, fresh meats and vegetables, and dried foods, to food-related products such as knives and tableware. It's also a famous gourmet spot.
7. Imperial Palace - The Nijubashi Bridge in front of the main entrance is so famous. If you have much time and interests, also you can visit East Gardens of the Imperial Palace.

9. Meiji Jingu Shrine - Shinto shrine where the spirits of Emperor Meiji and Empress Shoken are enshrined. It was built in 1920. The sacred forest was created by the plantation of 100,000 trees donated from all over Japan. Here you can enjoy Japanese culture and nature.
10. Harajuku - Just next to Meiji Jingu Shrine, here is famous for Takeshita Dori Street which has a lot of shops of " Kawaii ( cute ) " fashion. Also you can visit KIDDY LAND ( toy store ) and Oriental Bazaar ( traditional Japanese souvenirs ).
11. Shinjuku - Japan's greatest entertainment district where tall buildings are lined up next to each other. You can visit Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building Observatories ( Free of charge ), Kabukicho known as the town that never sleeps, Shinjuku Golden-gai ( 1950's nostalgic narrow drinking streets ) and Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden famous for its cherry blossoms viewing.

“ Great intro to Tokyo ”

Dai catered the tour to our two teenagers, we would not have seen half as much without him or learned about all the Japanese rules and traditions. He is an expert subway master! Super way to start a trip to Tokyo as he also gave us tips and suggestions for the rest of our trip .

Dai:

Thank you so much for giving me a considerate review, Janna. It was my great pleasure to show you around Tokyo. I’m sorry I think it was a little too much walking during the tour, especially for your daughter. But I was happy to see her smile when she got a squishy in Harajuku. I hope you will have amazing days in Kyoto and Osaka as well. Please take good care of yourself and give my best regards to your family. Thanks a million !!!

“ 2 day tour of Tokyo ”

Dai was a great host and tour guide for a first time family coming to Japan. My family consists of five people: myself, my wife, two teenage boys (15, 18 y.o) and my mother in law (77 y.o). Dai was able to quickly navigate the city using the subway system. He knew when to adjust our schedule to maximize viewing different tourist spots on our tour. Here are the many sites we saw over two days but not in this exact order due to adjustments made. On 18th. 1. Imperial Palace Nijubashi Bridge 2. Tsukiji Outer Market 3. Asakusa - Sensoji Temple and Nakamise Shopping Street ( lunch ) 4. Ueno - Ameyoko Market Street 5. Akihabara - Electric town, also famous for anime, manga, games and animal cafes On 19th. 1. Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building ( including 200m-high obser... read more

“ awesome day ”

Dai was great! We only had a short time to see Tokyo and he showed us the hightlights and got us around in the limited time that we had so we got a feel for a fabulous city. the best part was he really tought us the history of visiting the ancient temples and the rituals assoicated with them. a great day

Dai:

Thank you so much for a thoughtful review, Denise. Yes, your time was only 4 hours so we could not see much. We have more interesting places to see and experience in Tokyo. Maybe next time if you come back to Japan, I would love to show you around Tokyo more. Please take good care of yourself and give my best regards to your husband. Thanks a million !!!

“ You have to hire Dai! ”

We had an amazing day with Dai! I would highly recommend hiring him. Takes you to so many places and is really efficient with his time! He also knows so much about Japan and he taught us a lot about certain customs (how to water cleanse and pray at a temple, social norms about riding the metro, and how to say a few basic words to be polite!). He showed us the best places to grab a little yummy snack and knew all of the best photo spots!

Dai:

Thank you so much for giving me such a considerate review, Anna. It was my great pleasure to show you around Tokyo. I am so glad to hear that you enjoyed some food, such as Tuna Steak, Eel skewer and Melon Bread. Next time if you have more time to be in Japan, I would love to show you around Tokyo more. Please take good care of yourself and give my best regards to Travis. Keep on Traveling !!! Thanks a million !!!
