Due to Tokyo Metropolitan Goverment policy, Tsukiji Fish Market (Inner Market) was planning on moving to Toyosu that is 2.5 km away in November.
However, the moving plan has been just officially suspended by the order of the Governer early in September and the precise schedule is not clear yet.
On the other hand, Tsukiji Outer Market which does not belong to the Tokyo Metropolitan Government will remain as it is from now on.
Please also note that Tsukiji Inner Market and many shops in Outer Market are closed on Sundays and most of Wednesdays, though It can be different in each month.
