What to Expect

You can enjoy both old atmosphere of Edo period in Asakusa and Fukagawa areas and Japan's cutting-edge technlogy work hand at Tokyo Skytree.

Asakusa's main attraction is Sensoji Temple, originally built in the 7th Century. The Kaminakrimon, Thunder Gate is very popular among tourists. After passing through the gate, you wild find Nakamise Shopping Street. It stretches over 250 meters long, lined with 89 shops offering local specialties and souvenirs. The items seeling at the Nakamise Shopping Street are "made in Japan"!

Fukagawa/Tsukishima : This area retains the ambience of the stylish and creative shitamachi area of Edo-period Tokyo. Explore the tiny alley of Tsukishima. Fukagawa highlights include Narita-san Fukagawa-fudo Temple, Kiyosumi Gardens, and Fukagawa Edo Museum.

You use public transportation and walk a lot around 15000 steps during this tour, but use a taxi when needed. Please wear comfortable shoes.

“ Personal insights of the different parts of Roppong and Ginza areas. ”

The tour guide was very knowledgeable of the history of the areas. We set the pace and she keen on our interests. Recommend this tour in a heart beat. Worth every penny and more. We wish that Mochizuki be a permanent guide for all of our tours.
