Asakusa's main attraction is Sensoji Temple, originally built in the 7th Century. The Kaminakrimon, Thunder Gate is very popular among tourists. After passing through the gate, you will find Nakamise Shopping Street. It stretches over 250 meters long, lined with 89 shops offering local specialties and souvenirs. Most of the items selling at the Nakamise Shopping Street are "made in Japan"!
Fukagawa/Tsukishima : This area retains the ambience of the stylish and creative shitamachi area of Edo-period Tokyo. Explore the tiny alley of Tsukishima. Fukagawa highlights include Narita-san Fukagawa-fudo Temple, Kiyosumi Gardens, and Fukagawa Edo Museum.
