“ Best vacation ever! ”

I visited Tokyo from Washington, D.C., for the first time with my wife and 2 sons (aged 14 years and 5 years). We contacted T-chan and arranged for a 2 day tour across Tokyo and Yokohama. Our experience was excellent and exceeded our expectations! We met with her at our hotel lobby on both days on time and as planned, we used public buses and trains to get to our destinations (which was exactly what we wanted). On the first day in Tokyo, we visited the Meiji shrine, Tsukiji fish market (where we went to a traditional restaurant and had a delicious sushi meal), visited Ginza, Archibara and then the Shibuya crossing where we also took part in the crossing (what an experience!). On the second day, we went to Yokohama and visited the Minatomirai 21 wharf area, Yokohama Landmark Tower (which gave a great view of Yokohama), had a tasty lunch of Tonkatsu (fried pork) and miso soup at a local restaurant, visited Yamashita park and finally took the Seabus (boat) to Yokohama station from where we returned to our hotel. Our experience was excellent and this was an awesome trip! T-chan promptly responded to emails and had an itinerary scheduled before our visit that met our expectations. Her English is excellent and she took time to explain things and answer all our questions. She was also very patient with our 5 year old son. I will strongly recommend T-chan as a tour guide for any visit to Tokyo. We certainly plan to use her services when we return to Tokyo. This was one of our best vacations ever! Chima

Toshi(T-chan):

Hi Chima! I quite enjoyed our tour, too. Thank you for bringing beautiful sunny weather with you. It's a Japanese belief that when children behave well, the weather would be great on their next "big event" (e.g. a school trip). Your children must have been on their best behavior prior to the tour as the weather was perfect! The view of Yokohama Bay from the Yokohama Landmark tower was made more breathtaking by the clear skies! Our lunch, Tonkaktsu (fried pork cutlets) was yummy, wasn’t it! Please keep in touch. Next time, let’s visit Kamakura for Zen temples! Hope to see you again sometime soon!

“ Loved our Tour! ”

We loved our tour with Toahi! She was prompt, easy to understand, and you could tell she enjoys what she does. Made our trip productive and enjoyable.

Toshi(T-chan):

I am happy to hear you had a fun day with me, Ralph! Ningyoyaki – a doll-shaped pancake stuffed with sweet bean jam- was tasty, wasn’t it? Japan has rich and unique food culture. I hope to show you Depachika, the food section of the department stores on your next trip! The display is amazingly beautiful like “Food Museum”. You can sample Sake there, too. Come back soon!

“ Great day with Toshi in Tokyo! ”

My Girlfriend and I recently visited Japan for the first time. We started in Osaka/Japan where we hired a guide from TripleLights in that area. We had such a great time with her, when we got to Tokyo, we decided to use TripleLights again, and chose Toshi. Toshi was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and confident. Those of you who don’t know Tokyo, it can be quite a daunting task to navigate your way to all the points of interest, as there are so much to see and every destination is a minor challenge to find (even with a smart phone and TripAdvisor at hand). A lot of time and walking can be wasted as you’re searching for your destination. From the very beginning, Toshi had planned out our route based on the time that we requested, and she knew every little turn, short cuts, and even which elevators we should take from the subway station, etc. she has an immense amount of knowledge about history and culture. And you can tell that she genuinely enjoys her job. She took us to an amazing sushi restaurant at the fish market for lunch. We went to so many places in our relatively short time together, all the way from the Imperial Palace to Tokyo Bay to Shibuya. And of course, the Owl cafe in Harajaku was super fun! We highly recommend Toshi as your guide in Tokyo.

Toshi(T-chan):

It's great to hear from you again, Dan! I am happy to hear you had a fun day with me! Owls were amazing! They were well trained, weren’t they? Owls are believed lucky birds in Japan. There are more hot spots in Tokyo. A digital art museum is scheduled to open in this month in Tokyo. You need to check it out! Hope to see you again.

“ Excellent guide ”

T-chan was excellent. We would highly recommend her to anyone visiting Tokyo. She was extremely knowledgable, had excellent english, and very friendly.

Toshi(T-chan):

Thank you, David! I was very impressed at your organizing skills! You planned a wonderful Tokyo layover for your mother. The view of Hamarikyu (Japanese garden) and Odaiba (Tokyo Bay area) was quite breathtaking, wasn't it? It made lunch even more enjoyable! I'm glad you liked the sake I chose for you. One cup is not enough! I do hope to see you and your mother back in Tokyo. There are even more places to experience! Come back soon!

“ Tokyo day ”

T-Chan gave us a most memorable day in Tokyo. She immediately connected with us and her energetic and lively approach to her guiding was infectious. We felt very comfortable with her and her flexibility and ability to understand our needs were much appreciated. She is an excellent guide and we had an amazing day. Arregato gozaimasu! Esther

Toshi(T-chan):

Thank you for being such wonderful guests during the tour, Esther. Wasn't the view of Tokyo Bay and Odaiba spectacular? It was a miracle that there was no queue at the Tsukiji outer market restaurant. The counter seats right in front of the sushi chef was the best way to see him at work. We were just in time to see the inner market right before it closed. Let me show you the new fish market in Toyosu next time! It opens in October. Matane! (See you!)
