“ Very Thoughtful and Knowledgeable ”

Toshi was a fantastic guide. She was at our hotel promptly to pick us up at the time we had accorded. She was very cognizant of my elderly parents for whom walking up and down stairs could be difficult so she always tried to find escalators and elevators. She provided many insights throughout the tour and used printed out maps and pictures to help us better understand Tokyo. I’d definitely recommend her to someone else.

Toshi(T-chan):

Thank you, Brian! I'm happy to hear you liked the visual aids I made. I do my best to give my tours a human touch and local flavor. That's not something even Google Maps can do (yet!). How do you feel about another family trip back here? (Perhaps in two years' time?) What we saw wasn't even half of the main Tokyo attractions. Spring is particularly beautiful when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom. It's an entirely different experience altogether! Hope to see you again soon!

“ Very fun and flexible day in Tokyo ”

Toshi gave us an excellent tour of Tokyo and the many things it had to offer. Very knowledgeable about the city, traditions and current events it was a day packed with information and fun. Would definitely reach out to Toshi again next time we are in Tokyo.

Toshi(T-chan):

Hi Alex! It was a pleasure to meet you, your son Alex, and Toppy! I was delighted to help you obtain some items on your wish list. Wasn't it fun window-shopping for kitchen tools in Kappabashi Street? You made a good choice in picking a high-quality copper dome cover for cooking (teppanyaki). It comes from an area known for hand-hammered metalcraft, Tsubame-sanjo City. It was a relief to find your favorite clothing store in Shibuya. We were also quite lucky to witness two festivals in Asakusa. Three days in Japan is not enough. Come back to see the cherry blossoms (in the spring)! Let's explore the area more!

“ Delightfully informative day in Tokyo with Toshi ”

Toshi is a delightful and knowledgeable guide. We could not have chosen a better guide for our Tokyo visit. It was amazing how she could pack so much into a one day visit! We asked to see a lot of places and we saw them and more. What an exciting city to visit. Toshi made us feel that we really need to come back for another visit and stay longer. We learned a lot about Japanese history, culture, customs, architecture, food, and Japanese life in general. She was extremely considerate, gracious and knowledgeable. We could not have asked for more. Arigato!

Toshi(T-chan):

Thank you, Roine. So glad you liked my architecture tour. The luxury brands' flagship buildings in Omotesando captured the brands' essence quite well, don't you think? Have you ever seen as many unique-shaped buildings in one place as in Odaiba? The Fuji TV building really stands out with its sphere-shaped observatory deck on the top floor. For another excellent example of Kenzo Tange's work, we should visit the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building (in Shinjuku) next time. Hope to see you again or matane in Japanese!

“ T-chan was just what we needed to see the sights of Tokyo ”

My husband and I booked a four-hour tour with T-chan. She worked with me in advance of our arrival to determine what sights we wanted to see and was super easy to work with. Her English is excellent and there were no issues with communication. She met us at our hotel and we walked to the subway station. This was planned out and I believe she will accommodate to individual requests. She showed us how to buy subway cards and how to recharge them, etc. It was so nice to just follow her and not worry about getting lost. She took special consideration to our needs and was really a perfect host. She answered all of my random questions and was very easy to talk to. We had a lot of fun and we recommend her to anyone looking to book a guide in the area. We will 100% book T-chan again for our next t... read more

Toshi(T-chan):

Thank you Nico-chan! I quite enjoyed our tour, too. Wasn't it fun to sit back and relax in the self-driving train as we enjoyed a lovely view of Tokyo Bay? Was it just me or did the sushi actually taste better after seeing the sushi chef make it for us? The Macchi-Art latte in Ginza was a pleasant surprise! The personalized latte was made even more special with a loving couple's image on it (that's you!). Technology is amazing! I hope to see you back in Tokyo soon. There's always something new to see as the city is ever-changing. It would be fun to explore those new places with you next time. Take care!

“ Enjoyable day in Yokohama ”

Toshi met us at the cruise terminal for our 4 hour tour. We walked a lot along the area near the ship. She adjusted the itinerary per our request and took us to a traditional Japanese dance competition. We then set about 2 hours in Chinatown where we had lunch and walked the streets stopping at one temple. On our way back to the ship we walked through a pretty gardens. Her English is excellent.

Toshi(T-chan):

Thank you for the kind review, Sandi! It was indeed an enjoyable day! So what do you think of the Yosakoi dance? Wasn't it grand? Who would have thought traditional folk dance could mix well with rock’n roll? Can you remember the clothes of each of the dance teams? They wore their own distinctive modern Kimono. Next time, let’s explore Yokohama Sankeien garden together! It is like an antique architectural themed park. You would love it! Hope to see you again!
