The Imperial palace has been the center of the capital from the Edo period to modern age. The Palace is famous for its moats, stone walls and gates. However, in fact there is a variety of attractive tourists' destinations such as art museums, historic sites and large parks which will fully satisfy visitors. The palace is rich in lush greenery and its contrast with modern buildings is awesome.

  • Imperial Palace outer garden once hosted the residences of provincial feudal lords. Today it offers a spacious plaza and cultivated lawn surrounded with numerous beautiful black pine trees.

  • When visitors face the palace ground from the Outer Garden, the Imperial Palace Plaza commands the best view of the Tatumi Yagura and Kikyo-mon gates to theright, the splendid Nijubashi (Double Bridge) with the Fushimi Yagura in the background and teh Sakrada-mon Gate to the left.

  • The East Gardens of Imperial Palace was the main site of the main castle keep of Edo Castle. This garden was home to the Tokugawa shoguns and the center of their government.

  • The Ninomaru (the second keep of Edo Castle) served as the residence for the retired Tokugawa shouguns and heir apparents. The Ninomaru has a beautiful garden which was designed in 1626 by Kobori Enshu, the noted landscape architect.

  • National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo displays a number of modern artworks produced by Japanese artists from various genres from the Meiji era through the early 20th century. The museum contains Japanese artworks such as paintings, sculptures and portraits by leading artists.

  • The Nippon Budokan is a national center of traditiona Japnese martial arts. The Nippon Budokan hosts a variety of Japanese traditional martial arts events, - primarily Judo, Kendo, Kyoudo and Karate.

  • The 700-m-long Chidorigafuchi pedestrian walkways will be covered with many kinds of cherry blossoms, such as pale pink Somei-yoshino blossoms and the rich pink Yama-zakura blossoms.

  • The Imperial Shrine of Yasukuni, informally known as the Yasukuni Shrine is a Shinto shrine founded by Emperor Meiji in 1869 and commemorate those who died in service of Japan from the Boshin War to the First Indochina War.

No. Your tour is private, only for you and your family or friends, there will be no other group of tourists together in your tour.

Can the guide pickup me at the airport?

I'm travelling alone. Can I book this tour?

Yes, you can and you may be able to get a discount if you are traveling alone. Price depends on which guide you choose.
