An impressive view of green tea fields with Mt. Fuji can be enjoyed in this area if the weather is fine. Let’s enjoy visiting a tea farm here to experience tea picking, have a look at tea factory and taste a good cup of tea. It is just a course of tea production “From Field to Table”.
You can also enjoy other tastes by visiting a long-established sake brewery and prize-winning Yakisoba noodle. Both are located very close to Fujinomiya Sengen Shrine which is one of Fujisan World cultural Heritage sites and have been worshiped and loved by many people for a long time.
I’d like you to fully enjoy this one day tour at the foot of Mt. Fuji!
Hiroyo is a wonderful and engaged guide who we can highly recommend. Everything is well organized, she has an adorable personality and she can help you to get more familiar with the japanese culture and basic etikette.
We had a fantastic visit toShimizu, thanks entirely to our wonderful guide. Thanks again
Spoke good English and very friendly
We spent a wonderful day with Hiroyo tea sight seeing in Shizuoka. Even though the tour was in December we still had much fun visiting the World Tea Museum and a local tea factory. Hiroyo has excellent knowledge about tea and Shizuoka, and she is a great communicator so it really made for a wonderful tour!
Hiroyo-san was very helpful and patient, responding in a timely manner to all my questions as I was trying to decide which tour to take. During the tour, she also explained the history of the places we visited using helpful aids (such as illustrations). She was also very entertaining. Last but not least, she was very flexible in accommodating my mom's request for additional stop at the end of our tour.
Shizuoka is the No. 1 Tea producer in Japan. We will visit two tea-related facilities on this tour. They are located in Makinohara plateau, the largest tea plantation area in Japan.
