What to Expect

Shizuoka prefecture, is one of the most attractive sightseeing destination in Japan. Being in the southern part of the country, its moderate Japanese climate allows us to enjoy the warmth and sunshine even in the winter season.
There are a lot of places to see in Shizuoka; scenic beauties and places of historical interest, with plenty of local cuisine dishes and flavors to taste. This tour guides a variety of local fascinations compactly, especially for cruise travelers who disembark at Shimizu port.
At the top of the Nihonadaira hills (330m above sea level) there is a breathtaking view of Mt. Fuji, with lovely sight of the sea and tea fields. From Nohondaria you can take a ropeway ride and reach Mt. Kuno. There you can see the artistic Toshogu Shine (traditional Gongen style). The main Shine hall has been designated a national treasure.
Miho pine tree grove is part of the Mt.Fuji world cultural heritage. From there you can also see a magnificent view of Mt.Fuji combined with sandy seashores and pine trees.
We can also visit S-plus Dream Plaza in the Shimizu port. It has multitude of stores as well as a fish market and the Sushi restaurant alley. It is a great place to taste some fresh seafood, do some shopping and find some wonderful souvenirs.

“ Very enjoyable tour of Shimizu and Mount Fuji viewing ”

We loved our tour with Moto. He met us at the cruise terminal and took us via taxi and his car to see the sights. He took us a back way to a lovely look-out point to see Mt Fuji with the tea plantations all around us. It was so peaceful and beautiful as all the tour buses went to another spot for viewing Mt Fuji. We had no traffic or congestion. Moto is a very nice person and a wonderful guide. He also took us to downtown to experience some of the local culture.

Moto took myself and two friends on a tour of Fuji and Aokigahara forest. We also went to a saki brewery and took us all over to some great photo spots. He was so knowledgeable and so personable. I highly recommend him and we will be telling our friends to take his tour when they come to japan! I can’t say enough wonderful things about Moto. He was truly wonderful to have show us around. Thank you Moto! Em

“ Wonderful guided trip of Aokigahara forest and more ”

Moto-san planned a wonderful trip for us to Aokigahara forest, lake motosu and surrounding areas based on what interested us. It was a very enriching experience learning about the history of some of these places. Moto-san was very knowledgeable and he took great care of us including finding vegetarian lunch, guiding us through the menu options and picking and dropping us at our hotel. We are taking with us wonderful memories of this trip and will definitely recommend this tour.

“ Best Mt Fuji Tour We Could Have Asked For! ”

Moto was the best guide we could have asked for. He had excellent English and was very knowledgeable about Japanese history, geography and traditions. His communication was fantastic, always responding to our messages in no time at all! Moto was very flexible, allowing us to chose times and alternate activities. He was happy to take us wherever we wanted to go and also had amazing suggestions of sights to see. He was even flexible enough to change dates with us (twice) after we had some changes in our own itinerary. Moto chose a great sushi train to visit for lunch and was very accomodating to our dietary requirements. He has a very comfortable car and ensured we were comfortable the whole time. Moto took us to some hidden gem spots away from all the tourists and crowds. We would ... read more
