2.The Yoshinogari Historical Park is an outstanding archaeological site in Saga Prefecture. The huge park covers a large settlement from the Yayoi Period (400 BC to 300 AD).This archaeological site is of great importance in Japanese and world prehistory because the massive size and important nature of the settlement and the artifacts are found there. Yoshinogari consists of a settlement, a cemetery, and variously shaped territories. Bronze mirrors from China, Japanese-style bronze mirrors, bronze daggers, coins, bells, and halberds, iron tools, wooden tools, prehistoric human hair, and many other precious artifacts have been dug out from Yoshinogari features. The total area of this site is approximately 40 hectares. Many agencies have been exploring this site since 1986. Due to the superior features, artifacts, and significance in Japanese prehistory, the site was designated as a "Special National Historic Site" in 1991, and a National Park was created there in 1992. Ancient structures are being reconstructed on the site and the park is a major tourist attraction.

Tomoo was knowledgeable and very pleasant to be with. He tried hard to make sure that we saw the major sights in Nagasaki. Unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate. The humidity and heat were oppressive and we learned that the next time we visit will be in the springtime.
My experience with Tomoo was excellent . I have very happy memories of the Arita area, visiting the kilns , and museums with Tomoo as my driver/guide. Without Tomoo driving I would not have been able to see all the places I did. Tomoo was kind , helping me to climb steps, as I'd had a bad fall in Kyoto and was unsteady at times. He was also kind enough to translate when we were in a kiln gallery or shop. Tomoo took me to meet a lady I had been emailing, and wanted to meet in person, again translating. His knowledge of the ceramics industry in the area made planning a good itinerary easy. I am sorry for the delay in sending this review but the day after my tour finished my husband collapsed on saga station, and was taken to saga hospital. We returned to Yokohama and then Australia. Now at home I look back on my tour with Tomoo with pleasure. Thank you triple plights and thank you Tomoo.
Tomoo is very new at this job! But what a nice surprise! Very knowledgeable in many areas, respectful, and eager to please! Fun personality and very accommodating! Tomoo made our visit to Fukuoka most memorable experience. Thank you Triplelights for finding him!
.With abundance of paddy fields and waterways, Saga represents the original Japanese landscape very well. Farmers have cropped rice in Tsukushi Plain for over 2000 years.By this tour, you can experience both traditional and modern Japanese culture.
