.With abundance of paddy fields and waterways, Saga represents the original Japanese landscape very well. Farmers have cropped rice in Tsukushi Plain for over 2000 years.By this tour, you can experience both traditional and modern Japanese culture.


  •   1. Saga Castle History Museum, a faithful reconstruction of a part of Saga Castle's honmaru (main keep), which existed at this site during the end of Edo Period. (Entrance fee :free) / Saga Retro-Kan. This western style building was the Saga police office which was built in 1887. Now it is used as souvenir shop, cafe, and restaurant.
  •   2. Saga Shrine is a typical shinto shrine. It was built in 1933 to worship Naomasa Nabeshima and his child, who were feudal lords of Saga Domain in the late of Edo period. You can relax in calm and serene atmosphere. (Entrance fee :free)
  •   3. Saga Prefectural Government Observation Deck. You can enjoy panoramic view of the city from Saga's tallest building.(Entrance fee :free)
  •   4. Saga Prefectural Museum / Saga Prefectural Art Museum. Visitors can appreciate Saga from all aspects of nature, archaeology, history, folklore and arts & crafts. (Admission Fee: Free ※except for special exhibitions)
  •   5. Koden-ji Temple, which belongs to Soto school of Zen Buddhism, is famous for its beauty of plum trees in the precinct. It was built in 1552. It is also known as family temple of feudal lords of Saga Domain.(Admission Fee: JPY300 ※JPY400 April/May)
  •   6. Mallage Saga is the second largest shopping mall in Saga City.It has a well-diversified tenant mix of 132 tenants in the food & beverage, interior goods, ladies & men’s fashion and entertainment sectors.
  •   7. Saga Pokapoka Onsen (Spa). Basic course of the spa includes hot spring, sauna, and bedrock bath. (Basic course fee :Adult JPY1370)
  •   8. Kira Saga beef Restaurant (headquarter) is designated as single star restaurant by the Michelin Guide. You can experience the mouth-watering taste of top quality Saga beef. (regular budget : JPY 5000~10000 per person)
  •   9. Japanese style tavern / Ramen restaurant / Cafe bar with Karaoke. You can taste subtle flavors of Sake (Japanese fermented alcohol) beverages with local cuisines.

My own private car is small, so one driver and 3 passengers are available. I can drive myself, so no charge for driving (Not being a taxi driver, I cannot receive any money for carfare). However, If your group is more than 3, I can reserve a rental car for you. Car rental fee is charged. In each case, highway, fuel, and parking fee are charged.
