Osaka, the second largest metropolitan area in Japan, is famous for its contemporary architecture and street food. Except having lunch at the Japan's highest skyscraper Harukas, however, you will see Osaka from the historical side as you will visit Osaka-jo castle, Sumiyoshi Taisha Shrine and the Shin-sekai area.
Feel free to personalize this offer with Toshi.
First of all, you will explore one of the symbols of Osaka, Osaka-jo castle. The view from the observatory deck, the top of the castle tower, is wonderful as you can see the whole city like in your palm.
After Osaka-jo castle, we will move to Tennohji Station and have lunch in Abeno Harukas, the highest skyscraper in Japan. They have so many restaurants on the 12th, 13th and 14th floors. You can choose from a large variety of foods such as Japanese, Chinese, Korean, other Asian and Western dishes.
You will continue with discovering an old shrine Sumiyoshi Taisha that has a great historical and spiritual significance. Another attraction is the Tsutenkaku tower, located in the amusement area in which the atmosphere of the Showa Era still remains, and older people might feel nostalgic. As you stroll around, you will see a lot of brilliant signboards of Kushikatsu restaurants.
Kushikatsu, or deep-fried skewered seafood, meat and vegetables are the specialty of this area. You will probably want to drop in one of the Kushikatsu restaurants and nibble on them. I will keep you entertained along the tour with informative facts about Japanese history and traditions. Come and discover the historical attractions of Osaka and gain insight into the local lifestyle.

If you are looking for a tour guide that is very structured and dedicated to making sure you see as much as you can in your allotted time, Toshi is the guide for you. As first-time visitors to Japan, my group was easily distracted and prone to veering off course. Toshi made sure that we stuck to the plan and didn't dawdle. He is energetic, knowledgable, and passionate about showing you the sites.
Thank you for your review. It seems like that you guys had a great time with interesting experiences in the Kansai region, as far as looking at the pictures you shared. Hope you will come back here again some time and explore more about Japanese culture. Best regards, Toshi
We had a wonderful experience with Toshi. He was very accommodating and was very happy to help cater the tour to exactly what we wanted to do and see. He was very insightful and gave great advice for enjoying the rest of our stay in Kyoto.
Hi Matthew, Thank you very much for a wonderful review. I was a bit amazed when I heard that you guys walked to the Hotel from Kyoto Station. Normally international travelers take a taxi to get to their accommodation site, because of unfamiliar environment and directions. I just thought that these people know how to get about. It seems like that you have had a fun tour in Kyoto. It’s nice to be young and healthy. I really hope that you guys will form a warm family and that she will pursue her career to cope with various issues. Best regards, Toshi
We had a fun day touring with Toshi. He was knowledgeable and interesting. Had a great tour of Osaka with him.
Hi Dominique, South African team is going to participate in the finals. Congratulations! did you see Japan vs. Scotland game yesterday? I hope Japan and South Africa will meet in the final game, and XXXXX win. Thank you for you review. Please say hello to your husband, and take care. Best regards, Toshi
My husband, son and I spent half a day with Toshi seeing the Osaka Castle and visiting a couple famous neighborhoods. He was very knowledgeable, speaks very good English, and was also flexible in adjusting the itinerary on the go to accommodate my son's interest in anime. Toshi suggested several good spots for pictures and found a great restaurant where he helped us order local food. Although the scheduled time was up, Toshi made sure we were able to find a store my son wanted to visit and then got us a taxi. We had a great time with Toshi.
Hi Diane, Thank you very much for your review. I myself had a fun time touring with your family. Your husband is friendly and an interesting gentleman to talk to and listen to. I was wondering whether your son got something he wanted have at the Animate place and got back home alright. I'm glad to hear you enjoyed eating local food at the restaurant. Please take care and convey my regards to your husband and son. Best regards, Toshi
Toshi-san and I had a lovely day touring temples and gardens. Even though it rained most of the day, with his knowledge of Kyoto’s transit system we were able to cover a lot of ground in a short time. We spent the morning in Arashiyama then ended our tour at the Golden Pavilion. As a solo traveler he made me feel comfortable and even eased my embarrassment when I realized I hadn’t brought enough cash! Thank you for your graciousness, Toshi. I enjoyed my tour!
Hi Holly, How are you doing? Thank you for the review. You mentioned about your embarrassment. I just wanted you to forget that while we are touring together so that you can enjoy what you were seeing and experiencing during the rest of the tour. I simply wanted you to have a fun day. After reading your review, I found out I kind of succeeded in doing that. Thank you. Could you see the cultural performance at Gion Corner? Best regards, Toshi
