What to Expect

ABENO HARUKAS building has just opened on March 7th, 2014. It's the tallest building in Japan with a height of 300 meters, exceeding even the Yokohama Landmark Tower by 4 meters.

The Abeno and the Ten-noji area is the commercial center and transportation hub of Southern Osaka. Abeno Harukas has an observatory deck on the 59th and 60th floor, "Tenku Teien" or Sky Garden on the 58th floor and an observatory restaurant on the 57th floor. The Osaka Marriott Miyako Hotel is on the 19th, the 20th floor, and also from the 38th to the 55th floor. Offices are on the 21st to the 37th floor. There's a museum on the 16th floor and the Kintetsu Department Store covers everything from the 14th floor down to the B2 level. In particular, the 360 degree panoramic view of Osaka city from the top floor is a picturesque night scene because there aren't any high buildings around the ABENO HARUKAS.

Inside the Kintetsu Department Store you will find many luxury brand boutiques, shops and restaurants. I'm sure you'll enjoy shopping and eating there.
There are also many restaurants at Q's mall, Mio, or Tennoji Station Building, which are buildings around the ABENO HARUKAS.

Why don't you enjoy the magnificent view of Osaka from Osaka's newest skyscraper?

“ Two fascinating days in Kyoto ”

Wishing to visit Kyoto in depth in the short time we had, we disembarked the ship we are sailing in in Kobe and travelled to Kyoto by Shinkansen, and spent the night there, rejoining our cruise the day after. Hideo picked us up in Kobe and was with us both days. Thanks to him, we saw many sights, using both taxis and public transport, and made it back to the ship with ample time. Hideo is very patient, punctual and knowledgeable and we had two wonderful days with him in this lovely city. Whilst we never felt hurried, we managed to see everything we had planned in advance, with his great help and suggestions, and although we probably just scratched the surface of this great city, we could never have done it without him.

Hideo:
Hi Alisa I'm very glad to receive your message. First I could find you on the deck from the port. Two days are so clear that we could visit Kinkakuji Temple, Nijo Castle, Ryoanji, Gion area, Kiyomizu Temple. Sanjusangen-do, and Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine according to the scedule thanks to your help. I hope you enjoy the tour of Japan. Thank you very much for joining my tour and hope to see you again in the early spring. we'll be able to enjoy viewing beautiful cherry blossoms." Thank you again. Best regards HIDEo YOSHIda

“ Easy day at Kobe ”

Main purpose was to try the Kobe beef. We went to one of the oldest sake brewery in Japan. There was a sake brewery museum about the history of the brewery which was very interesting. The good sake there are very affordable and for foreigners, tax-free is processed there too. Animal Kingdom was a good place to spend some time especially for family with kids. We had Kobe beef at two places - Mouriya which we chose from recommendation for lunch and Kagura as recommended by Hideo-san. Kagura is a lot more expensive- guess you pay for the teppanyaki showmanship. We didn't have much time for anything else.

Hideo:
Hi Alan I am very glad to receive your message. Thank you for joining my tour. I'm sure your daughter enjoyed Kobe animal kingdom. I hope you have a great time of Japan tour and I'd like to see your pretty daughter again. Thank you very much. Best regards HIDEo YOSHIda

“ Professional and hard working tour guide ”

Hideo was fantastic! We had few quite bad experiences with our tour guides in Japan, but not Hideo. He was extremely prepared, friendly and generally very knowledgable. He also has an extreme level of energy, I was amazed by the pace he established, and how he kept up with it. Overall I would recommmend him. Thank you, Hideo!

Hideo:

We met up with Hideo at Sannomiya Station in Kobe for our afternoon tour. At the start he provided us with a clear itinerary and map of our tour for the day. We went up the hill to see Kitano Ijinkan area, back down to the Merikan Park and Mozaic Mall at the port, and then to Chinatown. Hideo provided a good history of the Kobe Port and the city in general which was very informative. Hideo was also very organized in conducting the tour. We ended the tour with dinner at a nice Japanese restaurant. Overall we had a good taste of the beautiful Kobe City and would love to go back again in the future. Irwan. Boston, MA, USA.

Hideo:
Dear Irwan I am very glad to receive your message. I'm sure you loved unaju ( rice topped with broiled eel ) and miso pork cutlet menue. I hope to see you again. Thank you very much.. Best regards HIDEo YOSHIda
