Seasonal guide in Yaeyama, Okinawa.
Iriomote island is located in southernmost national park in Japan. The island is characterized by its natural landscape typical of the subtropical zone—a dynamic and abundant natural environment comprising near-primeval evergreen forest with numerous rare animal species unique to this island including the Iriomote wild cat.
It takes about 60 minutes from Ishigaki island to Iriomote. Between two islands lies Sekisei Lagoon, great coral reef. More than 360 species of coral have been confirmed. Their diversity is on par with the Great Barrier Reef, the world largest coral reef.
Iriomote island provides visitors with places and opportunities for high-quality nature experiences, offering a wealth of land leisure activities such as trekking canoeing mangrove river as well as marine leisure such as snorkeling.
Ryuta provided an excellent journey to ancient Samurai capital of Kamakura. Meeting us in Tokyo provided a stress free day of travel all the way to escorting us back to Tokyo. One of us is a vegetarian and Ryuta went to extra efforts to find the perfect lunch spot. Overall a terrific day outside of Tokyo.
Ryuta was wonderful! I was traveling to Tokyo with wife and young child (2 years old) and was looking for a more intimate and personal view of the city with emphasis on history and culture while also taking into account the needs of my young child to be a little boy and have fun. Ryuta did an excellent job of balancing my desire for history and culture while also incorporating fun activities for my child and wife. Ryuta is extremely knowledgable regarding Tokyo, culture and Japan's history and easily answered my questions and was able to expound upon them in great depth. He also anticipated with great skill my anticipated questions and desires and worked them into our tour. Ryuta was prompt and on time for our tour, spoke excellent English, and clearly went out of his way to make our visit of Tokyo a truly wonderful and memorable experience. Would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone seeking a guided tour of Tokyo.
Ryuta took me to Kamakura for a tour of beautiful, historic temples, shrines and a lovely soba noodle lunch. Ryuta helped me design a perfect day introduction to Japan that included traditional green tea at a beautiful tea house, an overview of the subway and rail system and a little Japanese politics. His national certification allows him to be well versed in all the sights and he has a keen understanding of the traditions of Japan as well as the modern dynamics of this great country. I would thoroughly recommend Ryuta as an expert guide who will give you a memorable introduction to Japan or deepening of your understanding of its history and historic sights. I had a great day and the money was well spent.
It was a raining day but still Ryuta let us experience the places he promised, very patience and accommodating Ryuta always tried his best show us what each family member requested. We can all agree to recommend Ryuta
We appreciated being able to change part of the tour content to suit weather conditions and still have a good time and enjoyed a really great lunch. The combination of Ryuta's knowledge and easy going personality made for a most enjoyable day.
