“ Beautiful Mt. Fuji ”

We were able to see Mt Fuji without clouds on the way up, but by the time we arrived at the bus station, it was starting to get cloudy. Still, a wonderful sight to see, even with clouds. Nobu found a place for us to take a picture in front of Mt Fuji with almost no people around, a little known spot. Great. The only down side was taking the tour on Sunday of a three day national holiday. Traffic was horrible, took 3x as long. Not the fault of Nobu, though. He helped make the best of the situation. English skills were very good, we had no trouble communicating.

Nobu:

Thank you very much for your review, Carol. I am glad to know that you enjoyed Mt. Fuji tour even though we faced terrible traffic jams. Since Mt. Fuji shows different view in each season, let's try again in other month! But not on weekend^^;)

“ Great walk around Tokyo ”

Nobu met us at our hotel at the time previously arranged. He was very courteous and very obliging. We walked to different parts of the city and he was very knowledgeable about the area. He showed us how to use the train system. We walked for nearly 4 hours. Highly recommend Nobu and the tour.

Nobu:

Thank you very much for your review, Judy. It was my first time to arrange a Walking tour in Tokyo, but I really enjoyed it with you. I am Looking Forward to guiding you in other area for the next opportunity. Nobu

“ customized experience, a trip down memory lane ”

Nobu took me off the typical tourist track, as I searched for memories of where I lived in 1965. He negotiated the trains and buses from Tokyo to Zushi to Hayama. In Hayama, we walked, I remembered, and he talked with and questioned locals. He engaged with a local lady of my age who verified that I had found the house I lived in. She and I used the same beauty shop 50+ years ago. I don't know how Nobu fit so much into one day. We also visited Kamakura, as my husband and I frequently did. We then returned to Tokyo partly via a local train that traveled along the coast and stopped at small, old stations. So, if you want a custom tour, contact Nobu. He will make it happen for you.

Nobu:

Thank you very much for your review, Susan. It was my great surprise that we could find out the house you lived in more than 50 years ago! We were luckey that we could meet the lady who knows its neighborhood well at a local restaurant. I think your passion and will for finding it out leaded us to the house.

“ KIAPA, Japan experience 2018 ”

Nobu, a talented guide. Full responsibility and leadership. He organized our trip together perfectly even tough we have missed Mt. Fuji because of the nature rain and taifun in Osaka during our visit but overall our tour in Japan with Nobu make everyone in the group happy. Thank you for Nobu.

Nobu:

Thank you very much for your review, Andy. Unfortunately a big Typhoon was coming during the trip, but I enjoyed being with you and your group. I am Looking Forward to meeting you and your group again in the future. Nobu

“ No complaints, but Nobu has room for improvement ”

First of all my wife, 12 year old an myself had a great day with Nobu visiting Mt. Fuji and the surrounding areal. Nobu knew the area and was flexible. He did a great job arranging transportation and made us feel comfortable. Some suggestions however that could have made the trip even more enjoyable. Food: Being flexible is very important but also having some go to lunch and snack places in mind is important. When it came to lunch, I felt as if we were looking for food rather than the guide suggesting a couple of places he knew and trusted. Lunch was worrisome instead of an opportunity to experience a good, trusted and familiar local restaurant. Also, since we had a private car, it would have been a nice touch to have provided a few bottles of water. This is common in other private tours ... read more

Nobu:

Dear James, Thank you very much for your frank comments and useful advices for me. Concerning lunch, I feel sorry for not being satisfied. I regret to say that I had limited options in that area. Even so, I should have taken some action for satisfying you. As for bottles of water, the car company usually prepare them, but the driver seemed to forget it. Of course, it was my responsibility. I will make my best efforts to improve my conversational English. Thank you again for your review. I very much appreciate it. Nobu
