Nara is a very beautiful and interesting city known by the old name of "Yamato". It was established as the first permanent Japan's capital in the year 710. There are a lot of historical monuments in this ancient city, such as Todaiji Great Buddha Hall, Kasuga Taisha Shrine, Kofukuji Temple and so on. Nara"deer"park is also one of must-see areas. Let's walk around and play with the lovely deer!!
Feel free to personalize this offer with Koichi.

Koichi was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the local areas we visited. The tour was faultless throughout and was the realisation of a dream come true for me. During our tour we had a brilliant lunch suggested to us by Koichi and we visited several places which were not on our original plan, but made the day even more enjoyable. A super highlight was when Koichi suggested we stop at a local supermarket where he purchased a bottle of his favourite local sake for us to sample. Yum!! Thank you Koichi for such a wonderful day. Hi! Ian san, Thank you for your wonderful comments for me. I’m very happy to hear that you enjoyed the tour. It’s my pleasure! I hope to see your fine works that you made on the tour day. Well, have you contacted the kiln where we visited? They told us that today would be the firing day. I’m looking forward to meeting you again. Koichi
We could not have had a better guide for our day in Kyoto than Koichi san! From our initial contact he planned a wonderful day for us and accommodated our special request for a vegetarian lunch. He met us early at our hotel and we started our adventure. Mid-morning he accommodated our impromptu request to visit Arashiyama Monkey Park, which was a highlight for us, especially our daughter. He even helped my daughter get her first goshuincho book and first (of many) goshuins. He explained culture and history and taught us how to properly do the purification ritual at temples/shrines. And he took so many wonderful family photos for us! Another highlight of our time with him was an amazing lunch at the restaurant at Ryoanji Temple. We ate Yudofu in a tatami room that look out onto a beautiful ... read more
Hi! Donna san. Thank you for writing me such a wonderful comment. I'm glad you enjoyed the tour. I'm so happy to have been your guide. I think we were very lucky since we could see beautiful cherry blossoms for that time of the season. I would like to have a chance to guide you next time too. I really hope to see you in the near future. Koichi
From the first contact by email I knew we would be in good hands. Koichi helped me decide on activities for each day based on his extensive knowledge of the area and his quick grasp of what my wife and I would want to see. On our 4 days together we could not ask for a better experience. He is knowledgeable, a very careful driver and was very considerate of our interests, adding things to our original plan. He has a wonderful disposition.
Thank you for your wonderful comment for me. Charles san! I am very happy you enjoyed the tour. I would like to see you again in the near future since I want to show you some other hidden interesting places next time too. Koichi

Our family of 5 had an amazing tour of Kyoto with Koichi! He is the Best! Incredible guide and fun person. Koichi created an itinerary that was fun and interesting for all of us. We saw and did so much...and stopped midway for a delicious sushi lunch. He also taught us so much about Japanese culture and history. And....He is a wonderful photographer! We have wonderful memories of Kyoto because of our excellent tour with Koichi! We look forward to returning someday. It is a beautiful place. Thank you Koichi!
