Asuka, the ancient political center of Japan about 1400 years ago, is located in the middle of Nara prefecture. It has been protected by law to preserve historical landscape. Unlike other parts of Japan, there are neither high-rise buildings nor large commercial complex. Instead, rice paddy field, traditional village houses, mountains and streams welcome us as they used to be. We will explore the beautiful village, experiencing traditional natural dyeing, visiting farmer's market.

As for the transportation fee during the tour, I would like you to pay on the tour day.

Michiko showed us around Kyoto. She is a very nice person. She arranged everything from transport to tickets. She was extremally well organised when it comes to transport. Her english was very good. She took us into a very nice traditional Japanese restaurant. We had a great time and highly recommend her as a guide.
Thank you for coming all the way to Kyoto! I'm glad to hear you enjoyed your day trip to Kyoto. I was impressed your family were gentle and honest. Although it was mostly rainy and cloudy, it was enjoyable touring with your family. I wish you would have a fine day during your stay in Japan. By the way, we have four clear-cut seasons, and each season is beautiful. I hope you will come back again and explore Japan. See you again!
My family (wife and two kids 14 and 12) and I had an excellent tour with Michiko in Kyoto. We toured two days and she showed us several iconic temples, shrines, buildings, and neighborhoods. Michiko was very prepared and kept the tour on a reasonable pace given the large number of sites Kyoto has to offer. Michiko was very knowledgeable about cultural and historical aspects of Kyoto. We toured monkey park, the bamboo forest, and Nishiki market. We visited several Shinto shrines and Michiko shared interesting details of the shrines and Shintoism. We highly recommend Michiko as your Kyoto tour guide. Jon Texas
Thank you for your wonderful review. I was impressed to see your family are all open minded and honest, and your insights on Japanese culture or social issues inspired me a lot. I'm glad that your children got interested in animals, flowers, foods, toys etc.. I'm glad if you've found the finest fluffy cheese cake somewhere after the tour. I hope this trip will leave you colorful impression on Japan and some back again. I wish you all the best! Michiko
Michico was great and our tour was very good and very flexible. She is very knowledgeable and personable! We enjoyed our time in Nara and Osaka! At the end of our trip, at JR station, Michiko waited till we moved towards the right track and only then left the station- we really appreciated this!
Dear Irena, Thank you for your wonderful review. I was very glad to see you enjoyed experiencing authentic Japanese culture, not only historical sites in Nara and Osaka, but also foods and products. Your information about Japanese food in your country was fascinating, and I was also encouraged to enjoy home cooking including "rolled sushi"! I can never forget you. Thanks again! Michiko

Thank you for your wonderful review. It was my honor to guide you in Nara. I was very impressed by the way you try to value the culture and the way of life here in Japan. I believe you can touch the heart of Japan through those cultural experiences. Besides I appreciate that you kindly shared me the history and the culture in your country. It was very helpful. Arigato-gozaimashita!!
My mother and I were fortunate enough to be able to book 2 days of touring with Michiko during our visit to Japan this month. We spent 1 day touring Kyoto and a second day touring Nara and walked away with incredible photos and memories not soon forgotten. Michiko was a wonderful tour guide who was not only well organized and detail oriented, but she was also very personable and went out of her way to get to know us and tailor our experiences to our interests. She was very attentive and made sure that her pace and modes of transportation were comfortable for my mother which I really appreciated. She was also flexible with the schedule given the rainy weather which was also very helpful and provided suggestions for additional gardens to visit when we had a free day. Thank you for your wonderful review. As a resident in Nara, I was so delighted your mother came back to Nara for the first time in almost 40 years with such a brilliant daughter! I was also happy to see both of you enjoying every moment of the tour with great sense of wonder. I hope you will come back again to see Lantern festival in Kasuga grand shrine, or beautiful gardens in Kyoto, which will show you different phases and attractions. See you again!
