My name is Yuko. I have lived in a small island town called Amakusa for over 30 years. I have worked as a tour guide and I am also a translator for an NPO which helps children in India to go to a nursery school. I love my job. As a professional certified tour guide and a tourist who widely travelled within and beyond Japan, it will be my pleasure to show you around Amakusa and other areas including Nagasaki and Fukuoka .

“ Kumamoto City tour ”

We had a great time exploring Kumamoto with Yuko. She was very informative and helpful. She met us right at the port. We would have never been able to see everything without her there.

“ Wonderful Visit to the Miyazaki Area ”

Although TripleLights did not have any guides in the area that we were traveling, Yuko made a long journey to meet us at our cruise ship and show us the Miyazaki area. Even though it was not her "home base" she obviously did a lot of research to find the best itinerary and provide extensive background on what we saw. She also arranged an excellent driver to get us where we needed to be in comfort. We had a fun trip with good variety - one of the best stops on our cruise around Japan.

“ Amazing Tour! ”

My husband and I were visiting Japan for the first time and decided to take a tour of Nagasaki. We were overwhelmed trying to figure out where to go, what to do, and how to get there. We booked a tour with Yuko, and it was such a great decision, she is simply fantastic! She met us at our hotel, and helped us get a day tram pass and showed us how to use the tram. We visited the A-Bomb Museum, The Nagasaki Peace Park, Deijima, and Glover Garden. She is so sweet, helpful, and informative. We never would have been able to see all of these great sites so easily without her! She even took the time to take us to Nagasaki Station to show us how to use our JR Pass and which train to get on to get to Sasebo (we were visiting friends there the next day). Thank you so much Yuko!

“ Half Day Tour of Nagasaki ”

Yuko is an outstanding guide. She was very knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. She provided us with a lot of information at the various sites we visited, the Atomic Bomb museum, Peace Garden, Dejima, and a shopping arcade. Great tour with a great tour guide. She was also very flexible in terms of our particular interests. Highly recommended.

“ We loved every minute with Yuko ”

Yuko met us on time and we felt at home with her straight away. Her English was excellent and easily understood. In our short stay in Nagasaki Yuko took us everwhere we wanted and gave us a good understanding of Japanese life and culture. Very good value and we would highly recommend her to anyone contemplating a day in Nagasaki.

“ A 4 hour tour of Nagasaki from the cruise port. ”

Yuko met us at the cruise terminal. After a short walk to the tram, we were off to see the highlights of Nagasaki. The tram was very crowded and Yuko worked diligently to keep our small group together. Our first stop was to the interesting Peace Museum. From there we walked to the Peace Park and Yuko told us more about the memorials and Nagasaki. After a couple more tram rides and a little shopping, we returned to the ship. We have nice memories of Yuko and Nagasaki.

“ Our tour of Nagasaki ”

Yuko, was wonderful. She offered us an excellent tour of Nagasaki. She was able to guide us throughout the city on Street cars and took us to a local restaurant that was really good and specialized in local cuisine. You will have a good time with Yuko.

Yuko helped us see so much of Nagasaki. We traveled by foot, street car (how quaint, "the San Francisco of Japan"), and taxi. Yuko met us promptly just outside the exit door of the terminal. We saw everything there was to see in just one day. She helped us order lunch at a local noodle house and showed us how to eat it. Such a good experience overall. We communicated and worked together easily. Nagasaki was fun and Yuko made it even better.
