Yuji was awesome! He spoke great English and though their were eight of us he was very patient. He guided us up Mt. Fuji. In our group we had a couple that were having a hard time with the hike/ climb but he remained patient with us all. He also gave pointers for those struggling on how to breathe and properly utilize the oxygen and walking sticks. He also gave us heads up on upcoming changes in the terrain. As we descended through the typhoon he continued to motivate everyone until we made it safely back to the 5th station where we began. Thanks again for a great experience!
Dear Blanca Thank for the review. It is just like yesterday. I still have vivid memories. It was unfortunate for us with the stormy weather on day 2. I just wished we could make it to the top, though. It must have been the once in the lifetime event. Thank you again for having booked with me. Yuji
From the very beginning of the booking process, Yuji has been amazing. Beyond quick to respond to any questions/concerns I may have, he was always available to give feedback. As we got closer to the tour date, we knew weather might be a problem given it's rainy season in Japan but he was flexible in just seeing how the weather was morning of in case we needed to make alternative plans. With our luck, the weather cooperated with us and was sunny throughout and we were able to get a great view of Mt. Fuji as we drove up to the 5th Station. Yuji was very patient answering all of our questions and taking all the various group photos we wanted. He had great English and we felt we learned a lot from spending the day with him, not only about the places we saw but about some parts of the Japa... read more
Dear Kirstin, Thank you again for having booked with me and I actually am glad we were blessed with the weather. It was good you were able to see Mt. Fuji, closer view from 5th station. We were able to cover very essences of the area from both cultural and natural sides. There are so much to see in the area. We could not go to two more lakes and I would add that they are beautiful as well. You may have added Mt. Fuji climbing for your future list and you can well prepare for that. When you can make it to the top. your heart will be filled with joy, excitement, and satisfaction. Nature is often severe but when you overcome, you feel super great. I hope you enjoy the rest days in Japan. Just one day but it was a great day for me especially when you mention you have learned a lot. Say hello... read more
We had a lovely day with Yuji. It is the rainy season and we had some rain but we only opened our umbrellas once so we actually were lucky. Yuji took us around all 5 lakes at the base of Mt Fuji and to a beautiful shrine. He was very knowledgeable about the area. Lunch was amazing at a very traditional Japanese restaurant. I think we were the only foreigners there. Great experience. I would definitely recommend Yuji.
Dear Margit,, It was not a perfect day to enjoy the area. However, I am glad that you had some fun even in the rain. I have changed all plans due to the weather with your agreement but that could have been the best I could do to make your day valuable. I just hope you felt Mt. Fuji so close, though you were not able to see it directly. Please enjoy the rest of stay in Japan. You will definitely see more wonders of this country for days to come. Yuji
We spent a half day with Yuji in the Mt Fuji area. He was a fantastic guide that provided just the right about of history at each of our stops. Yuji customized an itinerary that was perfect for our interests and helped us explore all of the highlights of Mt. Fuji. He was kind, gracious, interesting and a delight to tour with. I would highly recommend him for a custom tour of Mt. Fuji. He even made recommendations for us on subsequent days touring in Japan. At every opportunity he went above and beyond!
Dear Meredith, Thank you for having taken time to write a review. It is always the pleasure to me. A bit unfortunate weather but I know you enjoyed the area. It was also nice to have met you in the forest on the following day. You must have visited Wind Cave before we met. Hope you had refund on the trains you did not take. Thank you again for having booked with me and I would like to see you again. Until then, take care. Yuji
Mr.Yuji was a very informative tour guide to our family. We chased Mt.Fuji and we did it! He drove us around Kawaguchiko. With him we experienced the horse meat sashimi, authentic hoto noodles, the song of mt.fuji at 60kph, mt.fuji from oshino park, wind cave & learned about the suicide forest. He's very knowlegeable and on time.
Dear Rhodora Thank you for your review. Just like yesterday, I remember the tour with your family. How is your family? The weather was not so good but we made it and we were able to see Mt. Fuji finally. It could have been much better, though, if we could have been able to see the whole. But I am sure you enjoyed whole Mt. Fuji on the following day. See other time hopefully at your beach in Philippines. Uuji
