Important

Summer is not good season to visit there as the possibility of viewing Mt.Fuji is low and there is no snow cap on it.

The possibility of viewing Mt Fuji depends on the season. The chance will be about 50% during winter but less than 20% in summer time. Please take a look at the graph at the last page of the pictures of this tour. In case we can not see Mt.Fuji at all, we will visit other interesting places near the lake such as museums of Kimono and ice caves in Aokigahara forest.
If you book any of my tours on the other days, I can switch the date with one of them so that you have better chance to view Mt.Fuji.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can we always expect to see Mt. Fuji in this tour ?

Not always. Your possibility of viewing Mt. Fuji will depnd on the season, please look at the last picture of this tour. But you can enjoy the Lake and other sightseeing such as Oshino hakkai, lava caves and museums.
If it will rain, I will propose you other areas in Tokyo such as museums and aquariums.
I will discuss it depending on the weatherforecast before the tour.

Where should we stay in Tokyo ?

I prefer to take the express train for Lake Kawaguchi departing from Shinjuku station at 8:30.
Please find your hotels near the station.

Why we take trains instead of a highway bus?

Highways are sometimes very crowded and there is little flexibility in time and places.
Trains are more expensive but you will save your time which is more important for travelers, isn't it?
There are many trains for return trip which give you more flexibility in time.

Why we use a tour taxi for some places ?

It takes time to visit Oshino hakkai and Arakurayuma park by public transportation.
It is inevitable to cover most popular places within a day.
If you don't want it, I don't insist and take you other places by public transportation.

Can I make changes after I book?

Yes! If you need to make changes such as removing or adding someone to your booking or changing the date or time of your tour, contact us by phone or email

Starting and ending points of the tour.

What happens after I book a tour?

After booking a tour, the guide will accept (or decline) your booking within 24 hours. Then you will be noticed by email from Triplelights.

Is the price per person or per group?

The price is charged per group. Which means that you make a one-time payment for your entire group and the price will not change if it is less or more people.

Can I add more people to my booking?

Some guides accept extra people (more than the specified number) for an extra charge. Please check for the extras on the tour or booking page, or contact your guide directly to clarify.

Will there be other tourists in my tour?

No. Your tour is private, only for you and your family or friends, there will be no other group of tourists together in your tour.

Can the guide pickup me at the airport?

Yes, but there will be additional charge for that and it is not by car. The guide will go pick you up using public transportations. For further details, please contact your guide directly.

I've got the national license of a tour guide in English in 2013. Since then I attended a volunteer group which is providing a tour of the Imperial Palace East Gardens that used to be Edo castle. I guided more than fifty times in the garden as a volunteer and studied about Japanese history and culture.
I was born and grew up in Yokohama and I visited many places with my family. I used to work in Tokyo for more than 20 years. I have more than 100 tours in Tokyo as well as Yokohama, Kamakura, Hakone and Lake Kawaguchi and have been improving my tour. Therefore, I am sure that I can provide you the most impressive tour around Tokyo. It will be my great pleasure to help you to enjoy your stay in Japan. See you on my tours!! read more

“ Wonderful day in Tokyo ”

Yuki was a wonderful choice for our first trip to Japan, he was gracious and accommodating as we spent the day exploring Asakusa, Akihabara, and harbor cruise. After touring Kyoto for 3 days we needed a slower paced day. Yuki adjusted our original plan to accommodate us. It was the perfect day. Thank you .

“ Kyoto in a day ”

Yuki was wonderful. He was well prepared, answered all my questions by email and was prompt. We had a wonderful day exploring Kyoto and visiting the top sites. I know we would not have been able to see as much if we had done it ourselves. He met us at our hotel in Tokyo, helped us get the bullet train tickets at a discount, then helped navigate us through the sites we wanted to see in Kyoto ( bamboo forest, Toriii gates, golden temple). He added the Buddha temple for us and it was wonderful. We had homemade Kyoto cuisine at a local restaurant which was just perfect for our cultural experience. He then took us back to Tokyo on the bullet train. He also gave us some background and history of the shrines and temples with illustrations on his ipad. We had an amazing time and would do it again in a heartbeat. THANK YOU YUKI!!!

“ Perfect Day in Kamakura ”

Yuki was a great guide. He was very knowledgeable of the history and culture of Japan. He had great visuals on his iPad that he showed us throughout the day to give us more detail about the history and locations we were visiting. He lent us a bus card that we added money to so that we could get to our locations faster. This meant that we had more time to visit once we arrived. We did up taking the wrong bus on accident, but he threw in an extra tour of one of the temples to make up for it. Overall, Yuki was a very knowledgeable guide and I would highly recommend him for your tour!
