Lake Kawaguchi is the most popular place to view Mt.Fuji.
We will visit at least three places you can choose from the following list.
My tour is very flexible to adjust your interests.
Feel free to personalize this offer with Yuki.
1. Memorable Tour; I can show you around the most memorable places around Lake Kawaguchi based on my experience.
2. Easier to Go; I will choose the most efficient and comfortable transportation so you don't have to be bothered by how to visit them efficiently within a day.
3. Flexible Plan; My tour is very flexible with time and places depending on your interest.
4. Delicious Foods; Japanese food is very important part of my tour, I will take you to my favorite restaurant for lunch during the tour.
guide fee, hotel pick-up
transportation cost from Tokyo to Lake Kawaguchi (you and guide about 3,500 JPN/adult for highway bus, or 8,000 JPY/adult for train)
the cost of tour taxi ( it takes about 1 hours for about 6,000 JPY up to 5 people )
ropeway and cruising fee (you only 1,400 JPN/adult)
bus free pass ( you and guide 1,300 JPY/adult)
lunch ( you and guide from 1000 to 2,000 JPY/person)
Summer is not good season to visit there as the possibility of viewing Mt.Fuji is low and there is no snow cap on it.
Please ask me the availability of this tour before you book it.
The possibility of viewing Mt Fuji depends on the season. The chance will be about 50% during winter but less than 20% in summer time. Please take a look at the graph at the last page of the pictures of this tour. In case we can not see Mt.Fuji at all, we will visit other interesting places near the lake such as museums of Kimono and ice caves in Aokigahara forest.
If you book any of my tours on the other days, I can switch the date with one of them so that you have better chance to view Mt.Fuji.
The highway buses are sometimes fully booked so please book the tour one week before so that I can book your seats.
If the bus is not available, we have to use trains. read more
Not always. Your possibility of viewing Mt. Fuji will depnd on the season, please look at the last picture of this tour. But you can enjoy the Lake and other sightseeing such as Oshino hakkai, lava caves and museums.
If it will rain, I will propose you other areas in Tokyo such as museums and aquariums.
I will discuss it depending on the weatherforecast before the tour.
I prefer to take the highway bus or express train for Lake Kawaguchi departing from Shinjuku station.
It takes long time to visit Arakurayuma park by public transportation.
It is inevitable to cover most popular places within a day.
If you don't want it, I don't insist and take you other places by public transportation.

My daughter and I did an overnight tour to Takayama and Shiragawa organised by Yuki san. Takayama is lovely but a bit touristy and he went out of his way to show us other aspects of the old town which we appreciated. We also fined very well on Hida beef at a very new and excellent restaurant he sought out. Very reasonable price and amazing food. Yuki is fluent, patient and fun. I would recommend him to any traveller. Thank you Yuki. Lynne and Stacey
Dear Lynne, Thank you for taking my tour. You were the second ones who took my tour of Takayama. I am very glad if you have enjoyed Takayama tour. Best regards, Yuki
We thoroughly enjoyed the guided tour by Yuki to hakone. Yuki was very responsive with our enquiries prior to our trip and took initiative to provide updates for the trip. He was very attentive and flexible and provide us with different options and suggestion to ensure we have a pleasant trip. Thanks to his recommendation, we had one of the best soba in japan! We will surely recommend him to anyone who may be looking for a guide.
Dear Michelle, Thank you for taking my tour of Hakone. It was my first trip after Hakone was hit by a strong Typhoon with record breaking rainfall. We planed to visit Mt. Koma but we changed the plan as it was hazy and partly cloudy. Instead, I took you to Ubako to see Mt. Fuji and visited Gora Park. I am glad to finish our tour without serious problems except the 40 min waiting for taking photos at the Torii gate on the lake. Best regards, Yuki
Yuki was a wonderful and very knowledgeable guide. He was on time, spoke great English and is very polite and fun. He was very accommodating to our schedule, showed us the ropes with public transportation; took us to a great place for lunch and even hunted down a very special item we were looking for. Thank you Yuki!
Dear Marcia, Thank you for taking my tour. Kiyosumi Garden is my favorite place with its quietness and unique setups of stones. Tower Knife is the best place to buy Japanese kitchen knives. Please give my best regards to other members, too. Yuki
Yuki worked very hard to make sure our group of 5 could visit the three gardens we had planned to see as well as the outer fish market and the Akihabara area. Yuki helped us order lunch in a restaurant and made sure we returned safely back to our hotel at the end of the day.
Dear Susan, Thank you for taking my tour. Yuki
I took a tour with Yuki a year ago. And, again, this October with three friends who were experiencing their first Japan visit. Friends from Cape Town commented that Tsukiji Outer Market tour with Yuki was one of their highlights and sent me a photo of their Japanese culinary equipment acquisitions, including the beautiful Japanese knife purchased with the help of Yuki. Thank you very much, Yuki, for your friendly, fun and educational 1/2-day tour. Best regards. Mickey
Dear Mickey, Thank you for taking my tour again with your friends. I always welcome your accompany, please come again. Yuki
