You will explore 2 types of caves, Saiko Bat Cave, Fugaku Fuketsu Wind Cave and watch one more Ryugu Cave. You will also leave your steps in beautiful Sea of Tree known as Aokigahara Jukai. You will see how volcanic activities of Mt. Fuji affected the area. Take note that Saiko Bat Cave will be closed for the period of Dec. 1 - Mar. 20. Thank you for understanding.

What to Expect

"Sea of Trees" known as Aoki-gahara Jukai, have been created by eruptions of side volcano of Fujiyama (Mt. Fuji) in 9th century. Eruptions destroyed old rich forest and had filled the land with lava. The oldest trees generated on the lava are estimated back 300 years, meaning current mysterious Sea of Trees is still relatively young forest. In this mysterious forest, some say compass mal-functioned and others say compass completely broken. In this Sea of Trees, we are able to see lots of caves like bat cave, wind cave and ice cave, created by the same volcanic activities.

1. See beautiful forest known as Sea of Forests on lava with thin soil layer
2. Explore two caves. Saiko Bat Cave and Fugaku Fuketsu (Fugaku Wind Cave) and visit another Ryugu Cave.
3. Understand Mt. Fuji activities
4. Feel mysteries of the forest

As options, I can take you to Nenba as Saiko Iyashi No Sato, and/or hot spring to which all are welcome even with tattoos.

By coming to Saiko Bat Cave as a meeting point by Green Line bus (stop 66) from Kawaguchiko Station by yourself and taking the same Green Line bus from Fugaku Fuketsu (Wind Cave, bus stop 71), where you end the tour, back to Kawaguchiko Station, you can experience local route bus rides in coming and going back while enjoying the area and great view of Mt. Fuji.

“ Trip to Tokyo and Hakone ”

We had a four day tour with Mr Yuji. We were a group of four. Yuji is an excellent guide and a genuine human being. He showed us Several places in Tokyo and had two day trip to Hakone. Inspite of scorching heat he made sure our trip was extremely efficient and comfortable at the same time. I would highly recommend him without any reservations. Thanks Yuji for your help!!

Dear Premila When you booked with me, I thought I have more days to prepare but it is over now. I miss you all. Definitely good 4 days. Thank you again and I hope you enjoy the rest of days in Japan. Yuji

“ Vails in Hakone ”

Yuji was very easy to get along with. He was very knowledgeable about the area. My daughter was not feeling well and Yuji slowed the tour down kept us in the shade and got us to a restaurant that had food she would like!! We also wanted to see the open air museum and Yuji made time for it. We were leaving that day and Yuji made sure we got to the train and knew where we were going from there. I would recommend him to anyone who wants to tour this are of Japan!!

Dear Maribeth, Thank you for taking time to review the tour. It was a hot day and I felt that walking in the sun too long was a bit dangerous. I was not completely successful in walking in the shade all the way. I am glad that your family liked the restaurant and I thought lunch time must have given you some relaxation in breeze and in the shade. We were unfortunate as to views of Mt. Fuji to my regret. My original plan did not include Open Air Museum but I am glad to have asked you if you would like to go since it is one of the top 15 "must go" tourists' destinations. I would be happy to guide you again when you would think of coming back to Japan and think of visiting Mt. Fuji area. Take best care of yourself. Yuji

“ Amazing Mt. Fuji and Hakone trip with Yuji ”

From my initial inquiry, I knew that working with Yuji would be a great experience. He was quick and thoughtful in his responses and helped me consider and decide upon a 2 day visit to the Lake Kawaguchiko and Hakone areas. Upon meeting at our hotel, Yuji jumped right in and helped me find my laptop left on a bus and had it sent to my next stop. Whew ! Our itinerary was well thought out and Yuji provided historical and background information about our sites. He is also a licensed Mt. Fuji guide so he was able to give us tidbits about Mt. Fuji that were very interesting. He took us to a local Houtou noodle restaurant on our first day which was really enjoyable. His english is great and he knows alot of American slang as well is very knowledgeable about just about everything which allowed us to have great conversations. My teenage sons also thought Yuji was witty. Yuji took good care of us and made sure that when we parted at Odawara station that we were comfortable with taking the Shinkansen and even offered to buy a ticket and go to the train platform with us. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with Yuji and would highly recommend him

Dear Kimberly, So you seem to have retrieved your laptop which is my great relief and I believe you are enjoying other parts of Japan, in more historical or cultural areas. Thank you again for having booked with me and it was very good two days to have spent with you and with your family. I now feel so close to you as if I know what your daily conversations are like. Thank you also for a great review and I just feel rewarded. Besides guiding, I may also like to help in and solve the situation just like I did what I could do where the help is needed. Your mentioning about Mt. Fuji guide is also appreciated. Looking back, the weather was not necessarily perfect fit but overall, it was not too bad and you were able to see great Mt. Fuji. Your hotel was also good for Mt. Fuji viewing. I hope to see you and your family some day again or I would appreciate it if your friends would contact me for future planning of the tour in the area and in other parts of Japan as well. Yuji

“ Made our trip even more memorable ”

Mr Yuji gave us an exceptional tour of Mr Fuji and it’s surrounding areas.

Dear Adnan, Thank you for taking time to review the tour. We were blessed with good weather in the afternoon and I feel so relieved you were able to see Mt. Fuji. I felt so close to your family and I will not forget the day I had a tour with your family. I hope you will have more during your rest of stay in Japan. Thank you again and see you some other time. “ Excellent tour of Mt Fuji area ”

We booked a two day tour with Yuji of the Mt Fuji area, starting in Kawaguchigo and ending in Hakone to catch the Romance train back to Tokyo. We had asked Yuji to keep the planning fairly flexible as the activities we might want to do (being a photography enthusiast) would vary according to the weather, whether Mt Fuji was visible, the forecast for the next day adn whether the cherry blossoms were early or late. As it turned out the weather was fantastic for our visit and so we spent much of the time finding viewpoints of Mt fuji along the lakes, especially where there were later flowering cherry varieties (since the main flowering was unfortunately very early this year and basically finished for our arrival). But Yuji still included all the standard things like temples, Fifth Station, ropeway, caves and museums. Would definately book Yuji again if we are back at Mt Fuji.

Dear Colin, Thank you for your time to review the tour of two days. I still remember two days just like yesterday. We were blessed with fine weather and it was really good. I believe you have sorted out all photos taken during two days, embracing good two days in Mt. Fuji and Hakone area. I think you must have taken lots of good photos. Flexible schedule is sometimes difficult but it turned out all right. But looking for photo spots on the way with you two was, honest to say, fun, making me awake and aware to new ways to look at ordinary things to my eyes. I would definitely would like to guide you when you feel more inclined to take more photos not only in Mt. Fuji/Hakone but also other areas. Looking forward to seeing you again in the future. Thank you again, Colin. Regards Yuji
