What to Expect

Mt. Fuji is well known across the world. It is the highest mountain in Japan and was designated as a World cultural heritage site in 2013. You can enjoy the mountain not only by climbing it, but by visiting places around the mountain.
In this tour, we’ll visit Fujinomiya Sengen shrine where we will learn about the worship of Mt. Fuji as a sacred mountain. Local people have been blessed with abundant pure groundwater from Mt. Fuji which is important for agriculture and other industries in the area. An example of this is sake, where the taste depends on the purity of the water used. Our visits include a Sake brewery.
And we’ll visit a green tea house as well. Shizuoka is the biggest tea producer in Japan and has many production areas across the prefecture. Depending on the weather, the view of tea fields in front of Mt. Fuji is spectacular to see. Let’s enjoy a magnificent view over a cup of tea!

☆ If you are interested in other places in Shizuoka, I can add it to your itinerary.
Please don’t hesitate to ask.

“ Highly Recommended for Tea! ”

I had a marvelous experience with Hiroyo, and I would recommend her service to anyone looking to learn more about teas offered from the Shizuoka region. It was clear that Hiroyo has done her research thoroughly, and I had the opportunity to visit a well thought out list of tea farms. She was able to translate from English to Japanese and vice versa effectively and efficiently, and I'm very happy about the other tea related activities that she recommended, such as touring the tea museum and having matcha flavored ice cream, which was all very entertaining. Always punctual, professional, and courteous, I would highly recommend Hiroyo!

“ Group Guide - Tea farm/Wasabi ”

Hiroyo was an excellent guide. She was able to organise a private van for our group 8pax and customised our tour to suit our interest. We loved the flexibility and enjoyed the activities very much.

“ Visit to Kakegawa ”

This was our 1st visit to Shizuoka city and we had wanted to visit the Kiwi Fruit Country and a tea experience. Hiroyo kindly agreed to guide us through the city of Kakegawa, included the 2 requested experiences and added a visit to Kakegawa Castle to complement the tour. Hiroyo was knowledgeable in guiding us around and knowing our interest in local produce, she introduced and recommended local produce souvenirs which we bought back as memory of our trip to Kakegawa and Shizuoka. Hiroyo is highly recommended as a guide for your touring.

“ Our perfect day with Hiroyo! :) ”

It was an excellent day we had with Hiroyo! My family truly enjoyed every bit of our tour. We were blessed with good weather that day and were able to see Mt. Fuji clearly, was able to enjoy Yakisoba in Fujinomiya, and REALLY enjoyed the Tea Farm tour. The owners of the tea plantation were so entertaining and really explained to us the process of tea farming. Not a dull moment with Hiroyo!

“ Excellent Tour ”

Hiroyo Aizawa was our tour guide (October 17, 2017) and she planned an excellent day of sightseeing (Shizuoka Sengen Shinto Shrine, Sunpu Castle Park, Momijiyama Garden, Nihondaira plateau and a Sushi Museum). She was an extremely sweet young lady. She also was knowledgeable and provided lots of information on history, customs, traditions using excellent visuals to explain things. Her English was good and throughout the day she was very helpful. Truly a wonderful guide.
