After meeting at the hotel where my daughter and I stayed in Fukuoka, all of us went to the station to go to Nagasaki. Right when we arrived in Nagasaki, Hitomi talked about Nagasaki and its history and a lot more information that we didn't know about before. She explained things clearly, had taught my daughter how to do origami and also taught her how to properly rinse and pray at the temple. She had also brought us to a great restaurant for lunch. I highly recommend Hitomi because of how informative she is and she also has great English.
I'm glad you enjoyed the tour in Nagasaki. Yes, Nagasaki is a very interesting and unique place that I love taking people there. It was nice climbing all the 193steps with you, hope you liked the view from the shrine! Please come back to Kyushu again for Takachiho next time! Hitomi
Hitomi is an excellent Tour Guide. We were a group of six persons from Malaysia with no Japanese language skills. Her English language skills was more than adequate - better than some of us. She was very prompt which is important. She arranged a tour that suited are available time and adjusted as needed. She was very polite and consideration of our needs. She was very knowledgeable of the places we visited including the history and culture. She also did an excellent job in getting us all from one place to the next tour stop. That was not easy but she knew how to arrange the transportation. All of my group was very satisfied with the cost. In fact, we thought it was a "bargain" and would have paid more for such good service. I would definitely use Hitomi again. She was excelle... read more
Hello Jimmy. Thank you for your kind message. It was nice meeting you all and I had lots fun talking with you too. I'm very happy to hear that you all had good time. It was fun taking your group to that sushi restaurant, they seemed really enjoy it, especially your wife:) So you made it to Nagasaki ok the next day, great! If you come back to Kyushu again, please let me take you to Miyazaki and show you beautiful shrines and we'll have delicious fresh fish lunch. Please take good care and say hello to all your friends for me. Hitomi
We spent a day with Hitomi while on a cruise of Japan. She met us at the port, and we traveled to the Aoshima shrine. It was a rainy day, but Hitomi was very knowledgeable, and the shrine was beautiful. After the shrine, we had a traditional Japanese lunch that was very good, and then visited the bedrock bath which was a fun and very unique experience. I highly recommend it, and Hitomi was terrific the whole day.
Thank you for your kind message. I'm happy to hear that you enjoyed the tour despite of the unfortunate rain. I think the bedrock bath is an unique experince you can do in that area. The restaurant is one of my favorites and recommended places, I'm glad you liked it. Please come back again and we will welcome you with the shiny sun next time! Hitomi
We had an excellent time with Hitomi. We covered almost everything on our proposed itenerary and she has excellent English. Highly recommended.
Dear Ted, Thank you for your kind review. I'm glad you enjoyed your time and food at the restaurant. 193 steps was a bit tough thing to do after your itinerary in Busan, sorry about that. Please come to Kyushu again, and I will show you many other interesting sites! Hitomi
Coming into Nagasaki straight from Hiroshima, already having some prior knowledge about the atomic bombs, Hitomi showed me around Nagasaki and it's history. Going through Glover Garden and some brief history about Mitsubishi (yeah it's not just a TV company), Oura Church, then the atomic bomb museum, and the Peace Park. Everything from the beginning to the end had a purpose. Each and every new place we went to had more details than the last, so the pieces of the puzzle was being put together. She is the perfect story teller. Even when it was all over, she even shown me where to get Yakitori! I had a blast. It's not everyday I get to have that much fun with someone. I wish I could spend two days with her.
Hi Eric, I had such a great time with you too. It was nice to hear your thoughts and ideas, I was actually impressed by you for the reasons you came to visit Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Thank you for your visit and I'm proud that I guided you. So I guess you enjoyed your dinner at that yakitori place, sorry I couldn't join you there. Please enjoy your trip and the concert in Tokyo. If you come visit Fukuoka next time, we go to a really good yakitori restaurant and have lots sake together;) Hitomi
