Typical Japanese landscape garden called Shin-en is famous for weeping cherry blossoms,Water Iris and Japanese Iris in spring and autumn leaves.
Kiyomizu Temple was founded by priest Enchin in 778 and built by the Commander in Chief of the Expeditionary Force of Sakanoue Tamuramaro in 780. Almost all the buildings were burnt down nine times in the fire since establishment and the existing buildings were reconstructed in 1,633. Hondo(Main Hall) is famous for its extra terrace called "Kiyomizu no Butai" and designated as national treasure.(Hondo is under renovation of cypress bark roof till 2,020.) At Otowa Waterfall, people pray for academic achievement, fulfillment in love and longevity. Hiro was an absolute pleasure. He was extremely well informed, articulate, an intelligent and humorous companion for the day. We fitted into one day what would have taken us two days or more without him, and the experience was a great deal richer for his insights. Could not recommend him more highly.
Dear Michael, Thank you very much for five star rated review on the tour with me. I had a very pleasant day with you and Ronna. I was also very much impressed with your interest about the things in Japan. I hope you are enjoying self tour over Kyoto for the rest of your stay in Japan. I look forward to seeing you again in the near future. Best regards, Hiroyuki
Communication is a problem. Although he sent a full detailed itinerary he did not inform us that no break schedules for coffee etc were included and most of the day was spent on public transport or waiting for public transport. This type of tour is not suitable for the older person 60+ as there are many steps to negotiate. He should have told us that what we wanted to see and do was too ambitious for 5he time allocated.
Dear Hilary, Thank you very much for frank comment on the tour with me. I will take this matter seriously and improve pre-tour communication from now on. Best regards, Hiroyuki
Our Day with Hiro in Kyoto was one of my favourite touring days ever. Hiro was an absolute gentleman for the entire day. The itinerary he prepared for us was organised and included items that we wanted to see. He added experiences for us using his great local knowledge. He was very open to our questions and he has a wonderful knowledge of Japanese culture and history. Additionally he navigated the transport system seamlessly. I would recommend Hiro unreservedly.
Dear Louise, Thank you very much for your wonderful review on the tour with me. I am pleased to know that the tour was satisfactory to you. I look forward to seeing you again in the near future. Please give my best regards to Bruce. Best regards, Hiroyuki
Thanks for a great day, Hiro.
Dear Lily, Thank you very much for your review. I had a very good time with you and Alfred too. I look forward to the tour over Kyoto and Osaka in the middle of November. Sincerely yours, Hiroyuki
We had a wonderful day in Kyoto enhanced by Hiroyuki's guidance. He was in constant communication with us leading up to our time together and was the first to inform us of the impeding typhoon that ended up changing some of our travel plans. He planned a beautiful day in Kyoto and we got to fit in all of the top sites and a delicious donbori lunch. Sightseeing was easy and efficient with Hiro as our guide. Would definitely recommend if you are in any of his touring areas.
Dear Anna, Thank you very much for a wonderful review on the tour with me. I am pleased to know that the tour was satisfactory to you. It was unfortunate that your tour over Osaka was cancelled due to your ship's schedule change because of the typhoon. I look forward to seeing you again in the near future. Please give my best regards to Eddie,Pamela,Mathew,Edward and Daniel. Sincerely yours, Hiroyuki
