We booked our trip in country and at late notice. Akira met us at our hotel and took us by train and bus to Nara. He was very factual but not boring and explained everything we asked about including some japanese customs and words. Because I have walking issues he tailored the trip to accomodate me but still we managed to see lots of things. Afterwards he recommended a very good place to eat in Nara and joined us there at our invitation. I would recommend using this method of seeing places as the interaction is much more than within a big tour group. Overall a very pleasant and informative trip.
Dear Jayne Thank you so much for your nice rating. I am glad to hear that you enjoyed Nara with me. I also learned many things from you and enjoyed Nara with you. Thank you very much for your invitation to lunch. Please come back to Japan. Thank you so much. Akira
A group of 8 of us met up with Akira during our cruise ship stop in Kobe and took the train over to Kyoto for a walking tour of some of the cultural sites. Akira was prompt and met us ready to go right in the cruise ship terminal. We hopped on a train over to Kyoto and then a short bus ride to where we started our walk. Akira was very knowledgeable about the entire area and filled us in on the fine details of Kobe, Kyoto and Japan the entire time as well as answered any other questions we had along the way. We had a very enjoyable day and left with more knowledge of Japan and the culture than when we started - which is what travel is all about. I would highly recommend booking a tour with Akira!!
