What an amazing day and one we will never forget! Our time in Kyoto was very limited and Kosuke helped make every minute count without feeling rushed. Each moment was more memorable than the last. He is not only well versed in Kyoto’s history but will share his obvious love of his hometown with you. We were extremely impressed with his driving skills, especially his mastery of navigating Kyoto’s many small and crowded streets. He was able to get into places we would not have managed in such a short time period. We visited several places that we were unaware of and a special treat to be introduced to them. As Kyoto can be quite touristy, Kosuke mad every effort to avoid that scene. We highly recommend having Kosuke be your guide while in Kyoto!
Kosuke (or Ko) arrived early at our property and was ready to go as agreed. We only had a day with a guide in Kyoto and Ko helped us to make the most of it. He's an amazing driver and guide, giving us tons of insights to Kyoto and Japanese culture. As Kyoto is quite large, hiring a guide with a car seemed to make sense to us. We were able to see many of the must see sights in Kyoto like the Golden Pavilion, Bamboo Forest, and several temples and shrines. Ko was extremely knowledgeable about every site and was a pleasure to talk to in between. He allowed time for shopping an be made us lunch reservations as well. After our tour he went the extra mile to send us local restaurant recommendations. We'd book Ko again in a heartbeat and will be recommending him to anyone we know who plans a trip... read more
Kosuke was very professional and communicated very well in English throughout our whole time. He knew the city so well and he brought us to lesser known shrines as well to observe the other side of touristy Kyoto. It was enjoyable with Kosuke as we spoke about almost anything and everything. Definitely recommend it to anyone who wish to visit Kyoto or Osaka.
We had such a great experience with Kosuke! Picked us up right on time at our hotel lobby in Osaka. Then brought us to the best places in Kyoto, including a really beautiful 400-year-old restaurant that we enjoyed so much. Also very knowledgeable of the shortcut roads in Kyoto (which saves us plenty of time in traffic!) Kosuke patiently waited for us while we take pictures, shop and also rent our kimonos (that took ages btw). He’s a very excellent tour guide and we would definitely contact him again next time we visit Japan! Highly recommend!!
Ko has a very nice mini van which is clean and comfortable. He's a great driver who managed to safely avoid traffic; my wife likes his driving better than mine! He is knowledgeable about the big popular sites, but is especially good at taking you to a few special sites that only locals and very few tourists know. He called a restaurant that was hard to get into and got us in or lunch. Did't just drop us off - he pulled up in his car, jumpe out in the rain and went in and spoke to the restaurant hostess to be sure that we would get a good table and get treated well. He answered all of our many questions in detail. He was ready with umbrellas when it rained. In summary, he is a true professional. He's not a part timer, or someone doing it just for a few extra Yen. Ko is a full time professio... read more
