Aren't you looking for some waterfront while planning for Kyoto trip, besides visiting the city?
I recommend this tour. In this tour, you can experience various kinds of water activities such as Kayaking, , SUP(stand up paddling), sailing, and so on.
After enjoying the water sports, you can relax and experience soaking in the natural hot spring at the foot of Hira Mountain.
Feel free to personalize this offer with Koichi.
In this tour, you can learn all about kayaking or SUP(Stand Up Paddlimg).
After meeting you at JR Kyoto station, We will take JR Kosei(=West side of the lake) line and go to Horai Station. After a few minutes’ walk, we will arrive at “BSC Water Sports Center”, a school of water sports.
First, You will practice paddling on the ground, and then move to the lake. At first, you may feel it difficult to move forward or backward by using a paddle on the water, but you will soon be able to operate your boat freely. The staff of the school are specialists for these sports. You can quickly learn how to control the boat on the lake from them. You may feel a strange sense that you are really living in nature. I think that this experience definitely heal the fatigue of your daily life.

Koichi gave our family a day we wont forget. His thoughtful itinerary kept the day fun and interesting. We never went in and out the same way to any area - he took us on interesting side streets or along beautiful waterways. We even stopped at a great mochi place and a very old green tea restaurant. Koichi was interesting; always having explanations backed up with pamphlets to help us understand anything we had questions about about. We enjoyed our time and would highly recommend him to anyone.
Hi! Thank you for giving me such a nice review. I’m very happy to hear that you enjoyed the tour. I was also able to have a pleasant time with you , your husband and lovely cute daughters. Well, I will never forget your face when I ate a chocolate ball like a deer’s poop in Nara park. That was very fun! Anyway I hope to see you again in the near future. Thanks again, Anna san.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time with Koichi and would have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone looking for a guide. We had 7 hours in Osaka and we communicated prior to our arrival on how best to plan our time there. We visited Osaka castle, Shitennoji Buddhist temple and beautiful gardens and a tea ceremony at Maikoya. Koichi found us a great place to have some “Japanese fast food”, udon noodles and tempura. We were a party of six and included in the group was my mother who has limited mobility. Koichi was patient and understanding and and I truly appreciate that he sought out the use of elevators and slopes for her to use on the public transport and at tourist sights. Koichi is easy to understand and happy to show tourists around his beautiful country, he even brought us origami ... read more
We were very pleased with Koichi as our guide for a day in Nara and another in Kyoto. He was knowledgeable, energetic, flexible, attentive - and kind! - and escorted us to many fascinating and beautiful sights over the two days that we hired him. He is well-educated, speaks English well, and has diverse life experiences which broaden his guiding capabilities. Highly recommended!
Hi! Frederick san, Thank you for giving me such a nice review. I was able to have a great time with you. Well, During the tour I was amazed by your enthusiasm for photography. If I have a chance to attend you, I would like to show you more interesting places where you might be interested in.
Koichi is an amazing man. So helpful and friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. We even got a Japanese language lesson thrown in It was a full day but koichi's enthusiasm ensured we never tired and were constantly looking forward to our next experience Can't rate him highly enough. Have already recommended him to friends
Hi! Karen san, I’m happy to hear that you enjoyed the tour, and thank you for sending me such a nice comment. The review you gave me is more than I deserved. I was just able to do our tour thanks to your fitness and curiosity. I hope to see you again next time too. Koichi
Kiochi was an excellent guide and we would have no hesitation in recommending him to others. From the initial contact he was responsive and based on our available time, he proposed a schedule which would allow us to take in all the key sights of Kyoto. He met us at the station, provided a very informative overview of each site we visited and even arranged a superb lunch. We even managed to squeeze in an extra visit on the way back to the station. Without using the services of a knowledgeable and organised guide like Koichi, we would never have been able to see all the main sights and understand the role of Kyoto in the history of Japan. Thank you Koichi for a wonderful & memorable day.
Hi! John san. Thank you for giving me such a nice review. I’m very happy to hear that you enjoyed the tour. It’s my pleasure. I wish you had more time to spend in Kyoto. In Kyoto and surrounding areas, there are many other places you should visit and things I would like to recommend. Well, I hope to see you again in the near future. Thanks again. Koichi
