Ancient Artistic Kyoto Highlights Tour!
An award-winning+magazine-cover photographer and an MBA candidate who major in tourism & hospitality management at Kyoto University will guide you to iconic places+the off-the-beaten tracks to take fantastic pictures.
Knowing the city as a local student for twelve years made me a bonna-fide professional guide.
Feel free to personalize this offer with Ai.
KYOTO is like a kinetic art.
The ancient capital has rich flavours of four seasons:
- cherry blossoms in spring,
-riverside restaurants & traditional Gion festival in summer,
- autumn foliage in fall,
- and snow flakes in winter.
Nature colors world-famous temples and shrines with stunning gradations.
In addition to the scenic beauty, all the streets in the city are well-organized like a chess-board. By strolling around these avenues, you can feel the full of historic, traditional, cultural, and academic atmosphere.
In this tour, we will visit UNESCO World Heritage sights, such as:
・KinkakuJi Temple(Golden Pavilion)
("No nail temple" on Higashiyama Hills side)
Other possible suggestions are:
・Fushimi Inari Shrine
(The most popular destination of red Torii gates)
・Kimono wearing+photo shooting by an award-winning photographer
・traditional Japanese show in Gion
(-Maiko dance performance
-tea ceremony demonstration
-imperial Gagaku music
-Jyoruri puppet show)
(Able to see Kyotoite big salamanders, a dolphin show, cute penguins, and touch large turtles)
・Arashiyama Monkey Park
(feed & take pics w/monkeys)

In her inimitable way, Ai goes beyond the standard “tour guide” role venturing into the realm of a personal travel photographer. Upon our request, Ai escorted us to picturesque locations rarely visited by foreign tourists: even during peak tourist season, in our excursions with Ai we often found ourselves to be the only foreigners traipsing through gorgeous locales! Her command of English is excellent and she is able to tailor a tour to specific requests. Ai spends substantial time and effort photographing her clients in special places, and her prowess and sensibilities are truly appreciated when you receive the beautiful images of these visits - creating lasting memories - which she gifts to you after her tour.
Thank you for wringing me a wonderful review with sophisticated words. It was very nice to meet such a smart, artistic, and brilliant couple. I will keep your book for the rest of my life. Hope to see you and your wife again in Japan and/or in the States.

Dear Irene, Thanks for writing me a review. Since my MBA thesis is about customer satisfaction of my tours, feedback is really helpful, not only for my job, but also for my graduate study. I will try to improve my service and photography skills. Hope to see you and your guests again in the near future. Your guide, photographer, and friend, Ai
Ai is a very knowledgeable and experienced tour guide in Japan, we choose a day trip to Kyoto, she picked us up from our Osaka hotel and traveled to Kyoto with us. During the day, she managed to take us to all of the must see sites. We also had an amazing meal for lunch, and Ai took very professional photos for us throughout the day. Her English is excellent and personality very bubbly and fun. Ai didn't feel like a tour guide but rather a trusted friend showing us her beloved city, we didn't feel rushed or time constrained, but rather took detours and lengthened our tour in Kyoto by ending up in a very special shrine festival. Highly recommend Ai as your next guide in Japan!
Dear David, Thanks for writing me a great review. Since I have been studying hard during the Golden Week Holidays, our adventure to fresh green Kyoto with an annual festival bonus really made my day.🌿 Since Japan will host your favorite sport events, please come back again in the future. I will welcome you two as real friends next time. Thank you very much once again. your guide, photographer, and new friend in Japan, Ai
As a party of 6 with 2 young boys and two octogenarians it’s hard to know how best to curate a trip in one of the worlds prettiest cities with more UNESCO world heritage sites than most! Step in Ai. From the moment we met her we felt comfortable that she was able to judge and meet our needs. Her English is first class, her knowledge of Kyoto (operational and historical) excellent but of most significance is her sensitivity to our needs both in terms of sightseeing and of shopping/ eating etc. She was patient and able to adapt as the day went on based on the children’s concentration span and the fatigue of the more mature. If you needed a bonus..... she comes equipped with her camera and is an award winning photographer. She is unobtrusively constantly on the go getting an amazing mix of... read more
Thanks for writing such a long, detailed, and excellent review! It was a great pleasure to have a warm, kind, elegant, well-mannered, and well-educated family. Hope your super-smart and curious children will study in Japan as exchange students, and become great parents like you and your grand parents. Please keep in touch, and do let me know the next time you come back to Japan! your guide, photographer, and new friend, Ai
