The ancient capital Kyoto, there are so many attractive spots. Golden temple, Bamboo forest,Fushimi-inari shrine,Kiyomizu temple,Nijo castle,Nishiki food arcade, Kimono dressing, tea ceremony, and my villa. Besides, snow valley in winter, cherry blossom in spring, crimson leaves in fall. I think you'll have tight schedule. I'd like to customize your original tour. Please contact me now !

What to Expect

The attraction of Kyoto is classified to followings.
1. History
Since Kyoto had been 1200 years capital of Japan, there are more than 3000 temples and shrines. Many of them are designated as UNESCO World Heritages. Visitor can touch the long and deep history of Japanese authentic culture as well as Buddhism and Shintoism.
2. Experience
I would like to recommend short tea ceremony, kimono dressing. Besides, it is interesting Zen meditation and Samurai warrior performance.
It is sure to make a booking in advance when it is high season in April and Autumn.
3. Nature
Kyoto city is surrounded by nature-well-preserved mountain except south connecting Osaka. If you like mountain hiking, I'd like to propose Monkey Park in Arashiyama, Mt.Daimonji famous for August bonfire. And Kyoto Aquarium using fresh water is nice too.
Japanese authentic cuisine, called KAISEKI, is expensive but amazing not only taste but its desing. Besides KAISEKI, home made family dishes, called KYOTO OBANZAI, is popular with tasty and reasonable price and can try dietary like a Izakaya local restaurant.
If you are interested in ingredient and raw stuffs for cooking, Nishiki food market is recommendable. Exclusive Kyoto-originated vegetables, fresh fish products, Japanese sweets, and local cuisine are prepared from morning till early evening. Your appetite must be Irresistible. It is in the center of Kyoto, so after your stomach is full, a strolling around shopping streets will be nice too.
Biwako valley is easy to visit from Kyoto. Especially in winter season, visitors will be able to back to the time of childhood by playing on the snow wonderland.
6.Cherry blossom and crimson autumn leaves
There are so many nice places in Kyoto. I'd like to recommend Philosophers's path, Sosui creek area near my Villa.
7.Halal for Muslim
There are some halal restaurants and prayer room for Muslim people. I would like to assist.
8.My Kyoto Villa
If you are interested in ordinary Japanese traditional house with tatami mat floor, please drop by my Villa near Silver temple.
I am pleased to treat you with free green tea, sweets and seasonal fruits.

The examples of temple ans shrines.
1-1. Arashiyama bamboo forest
When it comes to Arashiyama, the bamboo forest should not be skipped. I am sure its stunning beauty must enchant your heart. In addition Tenryuji temple with landscape garden is must-see. If you like mountain-hiking and animal, wild monkey park is commendable.
1-2. Golden temple
It is one of 17 World cultural heritages in Kyoto. Golden Pavilion using 25 kilogram is breathtaking through the year. It was built by Samurai leader Shogunate, Ashikaga Family, 15th century. It became Zen meditation temple after social place for noble people.
1-3. Fushimi Inari shrine
There are more than 3000 shrines and temples but Fushimi Inari is one of the must-visit. Visitors will surprise beautiful tens of thousand vermilion torii gates sprawling the mountain. People pray business success in connection with rice harvest symbolized by fox tail.
1-4. Kiyomizudera temple
It is located east part of Kyoto, mountain site. Incessantly sacred waterfall purify body and soul of visitors. Kannon Bodhisattva statue is watching our world from the heaven. Balcony is famous funny story.
1-5.Shin-nyodo temple
It is near my villa near Silver temple. It is very quiet and serene. The school of Buddhism is belong to Tendai-sect. Not only is beautiful a cherry blossom but autumn leaves in November.

1. Busy and crowded season
March to April and September to November are peak season. The transportation like a city bus is very busy and prone to take long time.
The number of possible places to visit will be maximum three or four for one day tour.
2. Hotel booking
The population of Kyoto city is only 1.5 million but more than tens of thousand visitors are observed every year.
I'd like to recommend visitors to make as early as possible hotel booking. The room charge varies widely location to location and grade by grade.
3. Transportation
The streets are busy in particular at high season and festival time, so it is necessary to consider the time of moving by bus.
Instead of city bus, using a taxi is convenient and faster from place to place despite more expensive than city bus.
Most taxi can accommodates up to four passengers except a driver. And hourly rented van with a driver is expensive but very convenient.
I would like to recommend it. I can manage and book. read more

“ Memorable Japan trip with most excellent tourist guide! ”

Shin-san is a very kind-hearted, friendly and generous man. He had been very helpful during our journey to Nara, Kyoto and Shiga (Biwako Valley). Even though we did not book him for our Osaka trip, he was kind enough to provide helpful tips and guidance on how to go about in Osaka. In fact, he had always been in touch even before our trip and advised us on suitable itirenary. His willingness to do extra ‘homework’ in order to accomodate our religious needs was also commendable. He was very patient with our 2 kids even though sometimes their behaviour could be challenging. We highly recommend Shin as your local tourist guide in Japan.

“ Amazing 9 days tour of Japan with Shin san ”

After our friend recommended Triple Lights my Family and I went through their list of guides and decided to hire the services of Shin san. At first it was only for Tokyo and Kyoto/ Nara so that we can get the services of our friend’s guide since he lives in Osaka. From the very first time that we communicated with Shin san, he was so enthusiastic and eager to assist us. One of our inquiries was for the birthday of the emperor. I really wanted to be there and attend that event where Emperor Akihito will give a message and wave to the people who are inside the Imperial Palace. Shin San checked for us the process for that and even accompanied us going there. And for me it was the highlight of our Japan trip. I thought my husband and our kids will get bored and tired since there was walking and waiting and standing for hours. But to my surprise. They were so happy to have experienced something like that. Shin san made our trip to Japan convenient and stress free even on days he was not with us. He made sure we know where we were supposed to be going and how to get there.... which train to take, even the time schedule of the trains going to a certain destinasyon like Universal Studios and platform number. We were really pampered —he gave our kids (ages 22 and 18) candies to taste and us some Japanese cakes. It was well beyond what he is supposed to be doing. It was like our kids had a Japanese grandpa. He took care of coordinating with the hotel staff for the taxis which will bring us to the Tokyo station when we went to see the emperor. He was a big help when we are looking for a restaurant since he speaks Japanese and English. What is Special is that he also speaks Tagalog! It was fun to discuss with him things about the Philippines because he has lived in the Philippines for several years. We learned things about Japan that we would not have known if we did not get a guide. More than anything —-our Japan trip would not have been as fun and enjoyable and stress free and convenient ad it was if it was not for Shin san. By the way, I need to emphasize that he was always on time if not early but he did not make us feel we needed to rush or hurry up. We had a wonderful time in Nara deer Park strolling and feeding the deer. Shin San was so nice and energetic. He was not counting the time. He wanted us to enjoy the trip. For all of those and more: “maraming maraming salamat Shin San!!! We will wait for you next year in Manila. With much Love, RioPamPatRap

“ Tokyo city tour ”

Mr. Shin is the best tour guide we have while in Japan. He is very accommodating and gives advices, tips and directions for us to enjoy our entire stay in Japan. He even meets with us upon arrival in Tokyo eventhough it is not yet the schedule of our city tour. He really takes time to check on us if we are doing well in Japan. The tour is very informative and worth it. He knows Tagalog also. We highly recommend mr. Shin.

“ Osaka Day Trip ”

It was a fantastic day trip with Mr Shin! He was very patient and accommodating with us. Even though my parents who are not proficient in English were comfortable in communicating with him. He even helped us in booking of the transportation for the rest of my trip. It was really thoughtful of him and we enjoyed his company. We would highly recommend him as a tour guide!
