Nagoya has formed a unique cultural zone including food, located between Tokyo and Osaka.
To be sure, Nagoya Castle, Atsuta Jingu and Osu Kannon are very popular as a sightseeing spot.

Nagoya and its suburbs present you Japan's original scenery.

What to Expect

Nagoya Highlights
Nagoya Castle has been a symbol of Nagoya over 400 years. It consists of the tower, palace and garden. The original building were burnt down in 1945 but they were reconstructed as it used to be. The gorgeous inside of the palace is overwhelming to visitors.
Atsuta Shrine
Atsuta Shrine is one of oldest shrines in Japan. It is located at the south of Nagoya, covered with thick forests. There are three camphor trees estimated over 1000 years old. Next to Ise Shrine, it is rated as the second important shrine. The legendary sword is enshrined inside.
Osu Kannon
The history of the temple dates back to the 12th century.
But it was moved to its current site in the 17th century.
The Kannon, a wooden statue, is said to be carved by Kobo Daish, Japan's the most important Buddha priest. It also contains very important classic texts. After visiting the temple, you may enjoy shopping in the neighboring shopping district. There are 1200 shops there.
Magome Post Town
Tsumago Post Town
About 400 years ago, there was "Nakasendo" national route covering 500 km between Tokyo and Kyoto.
People traveled along the route on foot for 12 - 16 days. There were 69 post towns. Most of them were lost but even today there are a few that retain the original scene. Magome and Tsumago are one of these. Here you can see the original Japan, different from those of Kyoto and Nara.

“ Very good tour guide! ”

Excellent and easy communication with Masaki during preparation for the tour. Masaki speaks very good English. He answered all questions promptly and thoroughly and he made suggestions and sent photos of alternative sights to see when one of the places we wanted to go to was not open on the date of our tour. He went out of his way to book us additional services like the rickshaw and a van which was a last-minute decision. Everything was planned out well. Day 1 was Kyoto by van and day 2 was Osaka by public transpo. Masaki picked us up on time from our Kyoto Airbnb with the van he booked for us and dropped us off at our Osaka Airbnb after the tour. It was a very long day but everything worked out well! He picked us up again the next day from our Osaka Airbnb for our Osaka tour. Masaki gave ... read more

“ Kyoto family tour. ”

We had a wonderful day with Masaki. He gave us a lot of information about the places we visited and managed to steer us through the New Year crowds. Also he was happy to give tips and information about things to do by ourselves. He took lots of photos for us . Regards Ian,Lisa &Emma

Masaki:

Hi Ian Thank you for a prompt review. On New Year Day, Kyoto was crowded everywhere. Hope she will dance in Japan on TV. She has a talent. Thanks to cooperation, our tour went smoothly. Your Japan tour still continues, take care of yourselves because Japan becomes colder from now on. See you again.

“ First class ”

Masaki could not have worked harder. He took us to all of the places we wanted to see and tailored the itinerary perfectly. He is full of knowledge and good humour. We did not simply see the sights, we learned about the history of Zen Buddhism, meditation practice and breathing and Japanese philosophy. After the tour was over, he sent us over 70 excellent photos that he had taken during the day, which is a great souvenir. This was a first class day out and we highly recommend Masaki.

Masaki:

Hi Christian, Thank you for sending a good message. I'm very happy to share my knowledge about the meditation method with you. Did Anita start meditation today? No matter how short your time is, practice it in succession. Practice makes perfect. By the way, Christian you are sure to be the best son in the world. See you again. Masaki
