Gion is a very Kyoto area. We can see the Minami-za kabuki theater, Hanami-koji street which is scenic reserve, Yasui-konpiragu shrine, Yasaka shrine, Tatsumi bridge, and Pont-cho street. This tour takes about 1 hour from the front of the Minami-za kabuki theater to Ponto-cho street. There are many restaurants at Gion area, so I think 1 hour walking around Gion is a good exercise for dinner. Moreover, if we are lucky, we may be able to see geisha, who are traditional female entertainers.
He knew good places to visit and places to eat. We will recommend him to your our friends as well as you website.
Takashi was very flexible and was able to meet me and my son earlier than planned as we were feeling tired and jet lagged. He took us on a nice stroll around the Gion area and showed us the highlights. He was helpful with background information of the area and helped maneuver us around the crowds and took some photos for us. Lastly, he showed us a local restaurant per our request that served a local dish. Thank you Takashi!
Takashi was a very good guide, he showed us some interesting sights in Kyoto which we wouldn't have seen without him. He was very pleasant and helpful. Would definitely recommended him as a tour guide.
Takashi provided a good quick and informative overview of Kyoto on our first visit. Due to time taken for 5 yr old to also walk the tour was flexible enough to add an extra hour to cover off local highlights of Kyoto. Great base to get bearings.
Takashi was a great tour guide! Very knowledgable about the area and even helped us find a great restaurant to have dinner after our tour was over. Definitely recommend :)
