I am a professional English tour guide. Originally, I was born and have been living in the southern part of Kyushu, and have been working at the regional bank here for 30 years. Therefore, I know this area thoroughly, such as history, culture, nature, lifestyles, people, etc.
On weekends, I am usually absorbed in activities related to modern and traditional foods with my wife as well as guiding tourists. I love to roast coffee, grow vegetables and herbs, fillet fish and arrange Sashimi, make buckwheat noodles, smoke fish and meat, etc. As traditional annual events, I make pickled plums (Umeboshi) in early summer, soybean paste (Miso) in Autumn, rice cakes (Mochi) at the end of year, etc. I have a lot of knowledge and experience about local dishes as well as Japanese dishes (Washoku), so that I am confident to fascinate tourists because I believe all of them are highly interested in eating local dishes.

※ If you like, I will guide you with my wife Emiko for the group of females or family, elderly people to this tour. Her English is basic, but I am sure she can be of your great help.
Furthermore, upon request, I will invite you to my house, and serve home cooking my wife prepares while explaining about Japanese lifestyles. read more
