Kobe is located only 30 minutes away from Osaka by train, yet the city's atomosphere is totally different. It's one of the three major port cities along with Yokohama and Nagasaki. Since the opening of the port about 150 years ago, Kobe has been influenced greately by foreigners; therefore, it has an international touch. I'd love to show you around my town including Kobe Beef luch if you wish.
Feel free to personalize this offer with Mari.
City of Kobe runs a sightseeing bus called city loop bus, and you can get on/off any spot you like.
One day pass is available at 660yen/person. You can visit all the sites listed below except for sake brewing district. (To visit a sake brewer, you need to take a train for 20 min. and walk 10 min.)
Following is a sample itinerary, and you can choose some of the spots according to your interests:

Kobe is one of the most famous sake making areas in Japan. (Approx. 30 % of all sake produced in Japan.) We can visit Nada sake-brewing district to learn about sake making and enjoy a free sake tasting.
It is located in the center of the city. Ikuta Jinjya Shrine is only ten minute walk from the station; it has a long history of about 1800 years.
If you like to have Kobe beef, I can take you to a good cozy restaurant. Lunch is usually available at 3,500-7,000yen depending on the size.

I am overall very delighted with Mari's service. Before my trip, I reached out to many guides with a brief idea of my itinerary and Mari was the most responsive among the lot. She was very helpful in giving advice and ideas, which really helped me in my planning. I was very comfortable with Mari and eventually picked her as my guide and booked her for 3 days. However, Mari came back to me about a week later telling me that she had researched on the places I had wanted to go on my 1st day and they are actually very near to my hotel and asked if I would like to try going there myself instead so I can save some money... I was really impressed by her honesty! During the 2 days we were with Mari, she was very meticulous and took care of even the most minor details. She said her objective ... read more
Dear Erin, It was very nice to hear from you! Thank you so much for taking time and writing a nice review. I enjoyed visiting places with you, and actually it was a learning experience for me as a guide! Thank you Erin. I hope to see you again. Happy New Year!!
Mari is extremely efficient in her planning. She showed us around Kobe and Osaka and showed extensive knowledge of the places she took us. She is extremely well organized. Highly recommend her
Dear Venny, It was my great pleasure to show you around the cities. You have such a nice and fun family! I had a wonderful time!
Mari was a fantastic guide for three adults and two kids under 10 years old; covered all the major sites in a good pace and learned about Kyoto’s history along the way. Mari also provided recommendations on great photo locations, other site visits, and restaurants. Many thanks to Mari - had a great day in Kyoto!
Dear Mazie, Thank you for your nice review! It was a beautiful day, and there were less tourists in Kyoto on that day. I think because of that the tour went smoothly. I appreciated that two of your children were very patient with walking!
My family of 5 engaged Mari's services for the 2 days tour in Kyoto on Dec.9 & Dec.10. Mari speaks fluent english which my family can understand fully. We strongly recommend Mari to those who need an English speaking and caring guide. We had a walking tour around Gion wearing kimonos on the first day with Mari and she ensured that we managed to visit the nearby popular sites and yet do not have to walk too much. On the second day, Mari organised for us to visit some UNESCO world heritage sites in Kyoto and the smooth transit between trains & buses which we took, showed that she had put in alot of effort in finding out the mode & timing of each transport system, before our visit. TripleLights portal allow us to liaise directly with Mari before our trip and we could advised her about ... read more
Dear KT, Thank you so much for your detailed review. I’m pleased to hear that all of your family enjoyed the tour, and so did I. I’m especially thankful for you that you mentioned my preparation for the tour. It usually takes a lot more time than the tour itself. Thank you again for your consideration always.
As promised she met us in a timely manner at the port and proceed to guide us to our day trip in Kyoto. She always made sure the 7 of us were taken care of. During various stops she shared her knowledge about the visited places. She was flexible with the group's choice to eat locally rather than a sit down rstaurant for lunch. We saw all the sites as outlined and never felt rushed. Her command of the English language was impressive!. The group was completely satisfied with her serices and the services of Triple Lights. WELL DONE!
Dear Louise, It was nice to hear from you and have such a wonderful review! I had a great time with your group. Thank YOU for all the communication we had to prepare for the tour.
