Kobe is one of the two largest ports in Japan, along with Yokohama. The city is well sheltered by a range of hills, with a population of about 1.5 million ranking it the 6th largest city in the nation.
I can take you to Japanese sake brewery, Kitano Ijinkan (Foreigners' residential area), Kitano-cho (Kobe beef restaurant for lunch), Meriken Park, and Kobe Port Cruising.
Feel free to personalize this offer with Hideo.
Heading up the mountain from Sannomiya will take you to Kitano Ijinkan or Kitanocho's hillside. After the opening of the Port of Kobe in 1868, non-Japanese built their residences in Kitano-cho's elevated area at the foot of Mt.Rokko.
The symbol of Kitano-cho's elevated area is the weather cock house that a German trade merchant built. And I take you to Moegi House, or the former US general consul. Many of the foreign residences are now open to the public as museums.
Kobe is especially famous for its beef because Kobe Beef is a high quality, delicious beef. There are many Kobe beef restaurants around the Kitano-cho area. Of course I can show you a popular Kobe beef restaurant.
If you want to have Chinese food, I can take you to a good Chjinese restaurant in China town Nankin-cho.
Kobe is also popularly known as Nada-no-Kiippon, Japanese sake brand. You can watch the video about how to make sake and enjoy sake tasting in Hakutsuru sake brewery caompany.
In Meriken Park, the city's landmark, the red Port Tower creates a beautiful contrast against the white Kobe Marine Museum, which was designed inspired by waves and sailing ships.
Do you know the name "Meriken" comes from? I'll tell you the answer during my tour.
I'm sure you'll also enjoy about 45-minute cruising tour around Kobe Port.
Why don't you join my tour and visit the Kitano Ijinkan, eat Kobe Beef, and go on a cruising tour !!

We had a wonderful time exploring Hiroshima and Miyajima. Hideo was a great guide and kept us on schedule. We loved experiencing Miyajima island it was very special and beautiful. He gave us lots of local information and insight into the area. He was able to find us a wonderful, traditional lunch. Although it was raining we had a great time exploring and learning with Hideo.
I'm very happy to receive your message. We had Okonomiyaki, or Japanese-styl pancake, in the Okonomiyaki village for lunch. I had a great time with you, too. I hope to see you, again. Thank you, Anna.
Hideo was a very nice and informative guide on our fast paced one day tour of Hiroshima. He got us into one of the best spots for lunch, was very knowledgeable about the peace memorial park and we had a gorgeous afternoon with him at Miyajjima - thanks Hideo!
Hello Regina I'm very happy to receive your mesage. Thank you for joining my Hiroshima Tour. I'm sure you enjoy Japan trip. I hope to see you again. Thank you.
We had Hideo as our guide for a Hiroshima Tour. We were staying at Osaka and he picked us up at our Osaka Hotel and directed us to the Shinlansen fast train by local train. This was absolutely stress free and I would recommend it. We had Hideo for close to 12 hours from our Hotel and back. This made things very easy. His English is good and he had excellent knowledge. We were a group of 8 and he was excellent in communicating with us all. We visited Miyajima Island and Itsukushima shrine on the island. He introduced us to local food and delicacies. We had a beautiful Oyster Lunch which are farmed locally. We then visited the Atomic Bomb Dome and the Peace Memorial Museum and had plenty of time to look round this area. Hideo was VERY knowledgeable about the history round this and explained... read more
Hello Brian I'm very happy to receive your message. We could have delicious oysters for lunch. Actually culrured oysters in Hiroshima account for 50 percent of the total production in Japan. I hope you enjoy watching the Rugby World Cup in the stadium and Japan trip. Thank you, Brian.
We enjoyed touring the Shihmizu area with Hideo. He was waiting for us when we got off the ship and took us to many places. Our only suggestion for the future is that because he is rather soft-spoken a microphone and speaker would be helpful as it was difficult to hear him in the back of the van. Other than that we wholeheartedly recommend him
Hi Larry Thank you for your point. Unfortunately the van wasn't equipped with a microphone. Next time I'll arrang the taxi with a micophone. I hope you enjoy Japan trip on Celebrity Millennium. Thank you. Best HIDEo YOSHIda
Hideo have us a full day at Kyoto covering major sites and selected a great lunch place. He was knowledgeable about history and each site, and spoke good English. Hideo was very well organized and kept us on track to see everything. It was overly ambitious to try to cover Kyoto sites in one day as we were unable to see each site thoroughly. But we did want an overview and got that and want to return one day to learn more.
Hello Diane I'm very happy to receive your message. I took you from Osaka to Kyoto; Nijo Castle, Arashiyama Bamboo Forest, Kinkakuji Temple (Golden Pavilion), and Fushimi Inari Taisha. Thank you for joining my Kyoto tour. I'm sur you enjoy Japan Trip. Best HIDEo YOSHIda
