Masahisa (“Mike”) has proven the absolute best guide we’ve had thus far in almost a month of touring Japan. He arrived promptly for hotel pickup, totally organized with a formally prepared tour proposal for the day, complete with a brief overview of Japanese history and culture he wrote himself, and tourist information guides of Nara sites and cultural events - all neatly tucked into a transparent file holder. He also proved to be an extremely knowledgeable guide not only regarding Japan’s history and culture, but also of the world at large - a level of cosmopolitanism honed by extended business assignments around the globe on behalf of a major Japanese trading and consulting company. Masahisa is rightly proud of his country and culture and you will not find a more interesting g... read more
Edward Thanks for visiting us from beautiful city, even though more is the shame typhoon stepped in your precious time here. Believe all are also fine with your neighbors and free from any mischief by wildfire. Thank you again for your visit all the way from city I loved. Thanks Masahisa
My son James (24) and I had a terrific day in Kyoto with Masahisa. Before arriving his communication was very comprehensive and suggested an excellent itinerary for us to look at, ensured we could tackle it and covered off personal desires such as type of lunch. It was comprehensive, professional and thoughtful. Which sums up Masahisa. We had a memorable day with him and his knowledge and enthusiasm of both the places we visited but also of Japan and its’ culture made it special. Masahisa is a true gentleman and a wonderful ambassador for Japan. Arigato gozimasu, Masahisa, Our best wishes, Ian and James.
Ian and James It's me to thank for reminding me of great speach of Simon's, ex-SNP leader we Japanese were moved on Mar 12, 2011, also story of St Andrews, yes also congestion charges things in London. Please take sides with us on Mar 20 against South Africa. Thank for visiting us again and wish your safe return home with great memories here. Thanks Masahisa

Dana Thanks for your visit. Wish your safe return home, hopefully with taste of indigenous plum wine in the far east. Thanks Masahisa
We spent the day with Masahisa in Kyoto. He guided us from our hotel in Osaka, all the well to Kyoto and back. Masahisa is so knowledgeable in Japanese culture, and has some great recommendations! He also helped us take photos throughout our day with him. He looked after us very well during the tour, and made different arrangements to suit our capabilities. He even emailed us afterwards with some helpful tips! If you want to spend your time well in Japan, we would definitely recommend spending it with Masahisa! (I know I sound like a promo bot, but Masahisa really was above expectations!!!)
Velda Thank again for your trip to Kansai in midst of sweltering weather here. Wish your safe return home without any possible mischief by typhoon Rosa now hitting us. Thanks Masahisa
What a well dressed and polite guide. His knowledge was immense and patience was extraordinary. We were sorry we did not have more time with him. His photographic input made our day more memorable. The use of train, underground and taxi transport made our ability to see more essential sites.. His lunchtime dining location was excellent in a peaceful historic building. Full marks to him in creating a great experience.
Malcolm Glad to learn your safe return home. Thank you for your quick stopover and please stay couples of nights in Kyoto next time. Also thanks for reminding me of memories of your beautiful national trust properties, also Cotswolds and Lake Districts. Thanks Masahisa
