“ Timms Temple Thank You! ”

From the courtesy 1st extended by Rieko through meeting us in the Lobby of our hotel in Yokosuka and her patience by answering our multitude of question throughout our day spent together in KAMAKURA her experience and expertise was much appreciated. "Ricki" saved us from the stress of having to rely on our amateur skills with using the train and bus systems. Most likely allowing us to be able to visit 5 of the temples/shrines in a organized and efficient manner. When it came to providing information on the history of the temples and shrines we visited we found her guidance most appreciated. She kept the 3 of us interested (1 a 15 yr old young lady). If all of the guides representing Triple Lights are as congenial as Rieko I would have no problems using the service in the future.

RIEKO:

Dear D. san, Thank you for your great review! I am afraid I hardly deserve such a great compliment. The time we spent together was very enjoyable for me, too. You listened to me very carefully and asked a lot to enjoy the tour and it is a memorable tour for me. I appreciated it. Please come back to Japan soon and I would be very happy if I see you again then. Send my best regards to your husband and lovely niece, Thank you again.

“ Wonderful day at Kamakura ”

Reiko met us at our hotel in Tokyo and brought us to Kamakura. She was punctual, courteous and planned our itinerary very intelligently. We successfully visited all the Temples we wanted with the minimum of backtracking and had a nice lunch at a local restaurant with handmade soba . I would recommend Reiko strongly.

RIEKO:

Dear Sze san Thank you for your writing such a warm review very promptly! I was very happy to be with you, very happy family. Your daughter, Anne san and your son, Derek san were both very polite and listened to me very carefully. And I talked with Chris san a lot and had a good time. It was a memorable tour for me, too. Thanks a lot and I hope I can see you again in the near future. Rieko

“ Best time in Tokyo ”

Rieko took care of me and my children during our visit in Tokyo. She made sure that our day was packed with wonderful sites to see, and yet we did not feel like we were rushed. We had a nice lunch and even made a stop at a milk tea store when it was already starting to get hot. We were able to visit many sites of Tokyo, and understood its culture more because of Reiko. She gave us a lot of information behind the places we visited which kept my teen aged children interested. It would have been impossible for us to see Tokyo's best if we tried to do it on our own. Reiko even took us back to our hotel despite it is already past the hour that we hired her for, and suggested how we could get to our destination the next day. Thank you so much, Reiko! You made our visit in Japan very memorable. W... read more

“ Reiko: Bridging the Cultural Divide Between the West and Extending Beyond the Duties of a Guide ”

Each day we were with Reiko was so simple and easy, that as we transitioned train stations, visited shrines and monuments, and engaged in conversation with waiters and staff (all in predominantly Japanese speaking places) there was no stress or discomfort that often coincides with full days of sight-seeing and travel. Reiko knew the most efficient ways to each station and we actually described her as a "terminator" as she navigated the smallest of corridors and expertly used her energy. Most importantly though, beyond the tasks required of her job she was incredibly personable and so sweet. She was quite knowledgable of Japanese history but also laughed and smiled becoming a part of our family dynamic. Basically, we fell in love with Reiko-San and wouldn't have survived without her. “ Japan day tour ”

Rieko was a very nice tour guide for our trip to Tokyo. She was at our hotel on time and she showed us alot of places and facts about Tokyo that we never knew. Our tour was going good but was not great only because we didnt get to see the imperial gardens that day not because of anything Rieko could have done but because President Trump was there that day and the closed that part of the gardens. I would recommend Rieko for anyone who wants to see Tokyo in a small amount of time and have a personal tour guide to show it to you.

RIEKO:

Dear Jeff, Jolanda, and Angelica, Thank you for your review. And that was too bad that the East Garden was closed temporarily during three days while President Trump was in Japan. In addition, on the day we visited, he was not in Tokyo! Please come back soon. The East Garden is beautiful in April, May, June and autumn. See you soon.
