I've got the license of tour guide in English in 2013. Since then I attended a volunteer group which is providing a tour in the Imperial Palace East Gardens that used to be Edo castle. I guided more than fifty times in the garden as a volunteer and have deep knowledge of Japanese history and culture.
I was born and grew up in Yokohama and I visited many places with my family. I used to work in Tokyo for more than 20 years. I have more than 20 tours to Hakone and Lake Kawaguchi and have been improving my tour. Therefore, I am sure that I can provide you the most impressive tour around Tokyo. It will be my great pleasure to help you to enjoy your stay in Japan. See you in my tours!! read more

“ Kamakura guide ”

Our trip to Tokyo was a rainy one. Instead of going to Hakone with Yuki, he advised us to cancel it because of rain, thus we pushed thru to Kamakura. Yuki was a very nice guide. He showed us the interesting things in Kamakura, and he can also really walk too! He was there to guide us in taking the trains to reach our points of interests. We would have wanted a more informative guide, as Yuki was not as informative in the history of Kamakura as we would've liked. Although the gallery told of the history of the Kanon, it is still diffetent coming from your guide and also the shogun era of Japan. Overall, it was an okay experience to Kamakura. Getting a guide reaaly relieves you of the stress in the possibility of getting lost in Japan.

“ Great Tour Guide ”

Yuki understood what was important to us. Very knowledgeable, soft spoken and kind. A wonderful example of the quality of your employees. I'm coming back to Japan next year and if possible I would like to have him as a tour guide again. I have been asked by some of the passengers on the Diamond Princess about our tour. I highly recommend your company.

“ Day visit at Kamakura ”

Yuki is a pleasant and experienced guide to tour with. He offered bits of interesting historical events for each different location and will not hesitate to answer your questions. Moreover, the presentation was neat and commendable. He offered to fetch us at our apartment (not to mention that he was early!) and even took the extra mile to include additional tour location when the tour ended early. If you are looking for a light-hearted tour, i would recommend Yuki.

“ Wonderful trip to Kamakura with Yuki ”

We enjoyed a fantastic day tour from Tokyo to Kamakura with Yuki. He was professional but warm and friendly. He is also very high energy. His English and knowledge of various cultures/religions is excellent. In addition to his clear verbal explanations, he carries an iPad pre-loaded with photos, diagrams and other reference info to quickly assist his guests in their understanding of the various points of interest. We felt that was quite helpful. We had a few email exchanges before we arrived in Tokyo so he could plan our tour for what we wanted to see most. Much of it was left to his discretion since he is the expert. For example, he arranged the timing to take the large Sunday crowds into consideration. We either walked or took the subway. The tour was well-planned for the most efficient use of time. We saw all of the major hightlights including the large Buddha and many shrines, gardens, and temples. We also meandered through a few little shops along the way when it started to rain. (The rain was no problem at all.) Lunch was in a small noodle shop- just perfect! Later, we toured a new, ultra-modern shopping center near Tokyo Station. Very interesting! Thank you, Yuki-san for our wonderful day. When we come back to Japan, we will be sure to find you again. Cheers!

“ Cherry blossoms and ladies in Kimono ”

We really enjoyed our walking tour with Yuki. He was very helpful and informative. We enjoyed lunch in a local restaurant which offered the area's local delicacies. The restaurant was very pleasant and it gave us a chance to learn more about Japanese culture from Yuki. One of the highlights along with the temples and shrines was the ladies dressed in kimono and standing by the cherry blossoms in Kamakura.

“ Yuki was Great! ”

Yuki did an excellent job of pre-trip planning, giving us many details and providing options. With our input he tailored the tour to concentrate on the things for which we had the most interest. Yuki did a very good job of letting us know what expenses to expect (admission fees, train ticket costs, etc.) and was able to optimize each trip to take advantage of passes which allow admission to several venues. Yuki made sure the pace was good (we prefer a fast pace), and he tailored the pace to be best for us.

“ Fun in Japan ”

We did two tours with Yuki and he was great for both. Yuki was very patient and accommodating as we shopped - our favorite thing to do. He customized our tours according to our preferences and even took us to places not included on his regular tour. We enjoyed his company so much that by the second day, Yuki felt like part of our family. Thanks, Yuki. Hope you enjoyed the chocolate macadamia nut treats from Hawaii!
