What to Expect
1)The Great Buddha is a bronze image of Amida, the Lord of Western Pure Land with 13.35 m
height and 121 tons weight which was built in 1252. You can walk in inside of the Great Buddha.
2)Tsurugaoka Hachiman Shrine has a very big Torii, a gateway at the entrance to a Shinto shrine
which symbolizes the gateway to the ancient city of Kamakura. Inside of the shrine, there are a
main building on the top of stone steps and an over 1,000 years old ginkgo tree which was fallen
down by strong wind in 2010.
3)Hase Kannon Temple was built in about 736 and has a famous golden wooden statue with 9.18 m
height, an image of Kannon which is the Goddess of Mercy.
