Overview

Kamakura was the first capital of Samurai government in Japan. It is not only a historical city with about 100 shrines and temples but also a city with beautiful nature
surrounded by mountains on two sides and facing the sea to the south. It has a brave culture based on Zen Buddhism. If you are interested in Japanese history and culture and you like nature, this trip will satisfy you.

What to Expect

You cannot see all in Kamakura in one day.
So I selected some good spots for you. You can see the greatness of warriors and feel the calmness of nature in those places.
You can enjoy a variety of Kamakura; from a small temple to a big shrine. from a small Japanese garden to a big panorama of the sea.
You can also appreciate Japanese craft, lunch and sweets.
I will help you enjoy Kamakura according to your interest.

“ A Very Short Stay In Tokyo ”

I had only 48 hours in Tokyo and my stay would have been a lot different if I had not had a guide like Yukiko. She picked me up at the hotel and showed me the places I've requested. Due to my dietary restrictions she made a reservation at an excellent vegan restaurant for which I'm grateful. Thank you Yukiko for the great tour!

Yukiko:

Dear Dimiter, Thank you so much for your comment appreciating my tour! I wish we had had more time in Tokyo! It was really a hot day yet the weather was so fine. I was so glad that you are interested in Japan and listened to me so earnestly. I hope that you will visit Japan some day again! Thank you for your sincerity. Yukiko

“ guide to subway system in tokyo and tour of Meiji Shrine ”

We were very happy with Yukiko and she did a great job teaching us how to use the subway system in Tokyo. We found it very helpful. Also took us to the Meiji Shrine and gave a history of the place, and took us to a lovely place for lunch. Thanks Yukiko ! Regards 6 happy Australians

Yukiko:

Dear Louise, Thank you for the nice review! I replied to it soon, yet I seem to have answered to your another email. It is a great pleasure for me if my guiding was a little help to you, and I was so glad to guide beautiful noble ladies from Australia. I was wondering how you were spending in Tokyo after that because of the weather, yet I was glad that the day of your departure for Kyoto was so fine. As I have some photos to send you, I will be so glad if you contact me by email. Yukiko

“ Completion of our knowledges ”

Yukiko showed us a very nice garden and tempel in Kamakura, close to her hometown. We had the chance to get answers on all of our questions we collected over 3 weeks traveling in Japan. Very friendly and open minded person. Thanks Yukiko

Yukiko:

Dear Peter, Thank you so much for the nice comment ! I was so impressed that you are so interested in Japan and asked me a lot of questions of every field. It was also a good study for me to see our country from the objective point of view comparing with other countries. The warm personality of you and your wife Alice made me happy through my guiding in Kamakura and answering the questions. Yukiko
