Kamakura is a very healing city, which became the capital of Samurai at the end of the 12th century, and has a lot of temples where we can see lovely flowers.
We will ride a train for approximately an hour or so from Tokyo/Yokohama/Kawasaki area to visit there.
Appreciating the flowers, some temples and shrines, we can also enjoy the beautiful twilight seaview.
Feel free to personalize this offer with Yoko.
We will visit the typical temples and shrines in Kamakura. Even you're not a Buddhist nor a Shintoist, I guess you can feel the soothing power of the ancient capital. You can have a relaxing time there. About the Bamboo temple, we will go to the less crowded but nice one.
About the shopping options, it is possible to visit the places after visiting the temples/shrines in the evening, because some stores of Komachi Street are opened till 19:00.

It's concerned with your budget, so I'm afraid I cannot make arrangements for that, but I will be happy to guide you with the car you chartered.
It's impossible to make quotes without knowing the spots you would like to visit.
Nikko and Mount Fuji are approximately two hours on Limited Express from Shinjuku or Asakusa.
Tokyo is not a compact city, but a huge one.
If you have difficulties with stairs, please tell me in your message. Thank you.
The hydrangeas are beautiful during the rainy season, so I'm giving a SPECIAL DISCOUNT now.
We will walk a lot, so please wear walking shoes like sneakers.
(If you don't want to, please tell me the places you'd like to visit and I will arrange it that way.)
In some temples, you're supposed to take off your shoes when getting in the buildings to keep the places clean, so please be ready for that.
It is optional, but I wish you would have Matcha, Japanese tea, at Joumyoji where we can appreciate it while looking at a Zen garden or at Tsuruoka Hachimangu.
There is also a place that you can make your own Matcha if you would like.
Kamakura is extremely crowded, so sometimes you might not be able to have a seat on the buses or trains.
If you would like all the options, it might take an extra hour. I love you to see the most of Kamakura, so about the extra hour, I would only ask for the necessary transportation fare.

Very friendly and good navigator. I liked her knowledge of current Japanese pop culture and never made me feel stupid for asking questions. She had lots of little tidbits that were helpful, like the story of the 7 thieves. She did seem somewhat flustered by our American habits, I hope she forgives us. She also had to be prompted with questions rather than volunteering the info, perhaps this is cultural. We loved the tea ceremony. Overall worth it!
Thank you for your review. Well, it was five thieves, not Seven dwarfs, but it is fun to find them at Denbouin Street at Asakusa, isn't it? I don't remember what "American habits" you're mentioning to, but if you're mentioning the escalator rules, it would be better to observe when you come next time. Sorry about not asking enough questions that day. If you're talking about the "paper stripe" shide, I usually wait for the guests' to answer what it looks like, but because the day before you the guest had a hard time guessing what it was, I gave the answer without asking you. I appreciate your questions so much proving you're geniunely interested in Japan even though sometimes I had a hard time to figure out where you're looking at and barely had time to catch my breath. You and Jua... read more
Loved our time with Yoko!!! We had a few short days in Tokyo and we love getting a guide for part of our trip so we can learn more out the history and culture of the places we travel. Yoko did not disappoint! She took us to all the places on our list and showed us a few extra things. Loved every minute!!
Thank you so much for such a sweet review. I'm glad that you could find a Netsuke at that antique shop. The weather was also great when we traveled around Tokyo. It was a great pleasure for me to meet you and your wonderful husband. I hope I can see you soon with your daughters soon. Please take good care of yourself till then!! Thank you again.
Me and my daughter had a full day w Yoko. It could not have been better where she shared her knowledge on all the spots she brought us to. We will highly recomend Yoko and you will not be disappointed.
Thank you so much for your review. It was a great day meeting you and your beautiful daughter Emma. I had a great time walking and talking with both of you and it was a pleasure for me seeing both of you appreciating Japanese culture very much. I hope you enjoy the Karate tournament and Osaka, too. Please come again at the Sakura season!!
Let me start by saying Yoko speaks English well with little to no accent which is a huge plus in a guide. She is knowledgeable in Japanese history. We spent an entire day with her and she introduced us to the amazing sites at Nikko. If you want to experience Japanese history (2hr trip from Tokyo) a visit to Nikko is a must and you can not go wrong with Yoko.
Thank you so much for your excellent review. It was a great pleasure for me to enjoy the beautiful Autumn foliage of Nikko with a very intelligent couple like you and Nicole. I appreciated the way you were amazed at each sites and enjoying them to full extent. Please send my best regards to your beautiful lovely wife, Nicole. I will be looking forward to seeing with your kids in the future. Thank you again for everything.
When I decided to participate in a Japanese-only sample-making workshop in Kappabashi, I decided to look for a translator who might be able to act as a guide as well! In my search, I ran across Yoko's profile and messaged her with my plans. She was enthusiastic and ready to accept the task, and she quickly got to work arranging the reservation with the sample shop and building an itinerary to tour Asakusa and Sensoji temple as well. Even a typhoon couldn't stop our plans, and Yoko was very flexible in postponing our tour. She even helped by splitting up our days so I could take the workshop later when the sample shop remained closed on the day of our Asakusa tour. I had a wonderful time learning about Japanese culture and practicing the language as she drilled me on various sign kanji and ... read more
Thank you so much for writing an excellent review, Chris!! It was so much fun exploring Asakusa having Kagetsudo "Melon Pan" and Kibidango etc. It was too bad that the typhoon forced to change the schedule, but I felt lucky you could change your schedule and have the Sample Making Experience Workshop at the second leg of your trip. 想像以上に日本語を知っていて、ビックリしました。I will be looking forward to seeing you again and going to Nikko the next time soon. 日本語の勉強頑張ってください。次回また色々お話しできるのを楽しみにしてます。
