I thoroughly enjoyed my day your of the highlights of Tokyo with Eiko! It was the first day of my trip and was a great start for my adventure. Eiko was very flexible with the schedule and provided on the go suggestions. She gave insights into Japanese culture and an introduction on who to navigating the city's transportation. She was very nice to spend the day with.
Hi Asha, Thank you for the review. Your tour day was on Monday and almost all the museums and Japanese gardens plus Kabukiza were closed. Therefore, prior to the tour, we discussed the spots to substitute them. I suggested Tokyo Skytree and you agreed to go there. But on the tour day, you changed your mind because of the entrance fee.. It was a nice sunny day and there was a high possibility to view Mt. Fuji. So I took you to Tokyo metropolitan government office to visit their observatory. However there was a very long waiting line and forced us to give it up.. Im sorry if these were the reasons that you couldn’t fully enjoy.. I really hope you come back to Tokyo again in the future!! Eiko
I was in town on my own for the day with business, and Eiko (rhymes with Seiko) toured me around Tokyo for a good 8 hours of walking / public transport. A shrine, a temple, a museum, lunch, electronics shopping, the fish market, and many other places. She tailored the tour to my interests and was a joy to spend time with. Thanks again Eiko. - Jason
Hi Jason, it’s very nice to hear from you! I hope your flight back home was a comfortable one. Thank you very much for the wonderful review! It made me a big smile. :-) We did/saw many things together, more than I was expecting because I believed you have brought all the fortune! We encountered the special event related to the accession of Japan’s new emperor and signed the book at Meiji shrine, scooped nearly 30 goldfish all together, Maidreamn, New Magnet observatory, etc! And you have told me the mutual things between England and Japan. Thank you for all the information! I definitely would like you to come back to Japan with your family in the near future! Take care and see you again soon! Eiko
What a pleasure it was to have Eiko. Absolutely lovely lady that made our tour very special. When I come back to Tokyo, I would definitely use Eiko as our guide. You can’t go wrong with her. 👏👏👍👍
Hi Pete, Your review made me so pleased. Thank you very much!! On the day of our tour, it was raining so hard and we needed to change our itinerary a little but I am glad to know that you had a good time. It was very special to sit and see Kabuki together, visit the replica food shop, draw a fortune telling paper etc! Moreover we talked a LOT. :-) South Africa team won today and I’m happy for you! Let’s cross our fingers! Lastly, please keep on your pleasant journey. And see you again soon! Take care, Eiko
Eiko and I spent one wonderful day in Kamakura, visiting temples and a shrine, eating local food and taking part in a tea ceremony. It was such a great experience, my only regret is not having had more time. If you are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable guide who speaks English perfectly, I recommend booking Eiko.
Hi Melanie, Thank you very much for your precious time to write a review! And I am glad to know you enjoyd the Kamakura tour. It was more like a trip with my long time friend because of your thoughtful attitude. We talked many things. You always listened to my explanation with interests but also shared many things including the Hindu Buddhism. And yes, if we had had more time, we could have visited at least one or two more temples. But let's save it for later! Please keep studying Japanese and come back to Kamakura with your husband! I'm looking forward to seeing you again in the near future!! Wishing you continue your pleasant journey in Japan !! Eiko
Very cheerful personality. Delightful conversations about history, politics, cuisine, religion...The traditional tea ceremony and conversation with the samurai sword-maker enabled us to make wonderful personal connections while learning about time-honored traditions. Also, as a long-term resident of Kamakura, she knows the people, the shops, the restaurants and the right places for photos. Finally, her English was impeccable. We would strongly recommend Eiko to lead you through the sites at Kamakura!
Hi Edward and Tonia! I've just got your review from TripleLights. Thank you so much!! I now know that you flew back to the US safely which is good but at the same time I'm missing you two knowing that you are not in Japan any more. It was a very pleasant tour from the beginning we said 'Hi!' in front of JR Kamakura station to the endding we said 'Good-bye'. Thank you very much for taking the early train! Every thing went so smoothly! Through your questions to the sward smith and the tea master, I was able to learnt many new things with you too. Each of your comment encouradged me a lot. Again, thank you so much for having me as your Kamakura guide! Please come back to Japan again soon!! Take care! Eiko
