“ Great day at Kamakura ”

I spent a fantastic noon exploring gems of Kamakura with Shoko San. She is such an affable and an adorable human being. She is very good in her craft and very flexible with the itinerary and makes sure you are comfortable touring with her. I will come back to explore other parts of Japan in the near future and would definitely tour again with Shoko. Thank you for the thoughtful mementos that you gave me Shoko San , God bless you and your family. It was an absolute pleasure knowing you. PK

Shoko:

Thank you for writing such a good review. It is my pleasure that I could guide you in Kamakura. I myself could enjoy the tour and feel comfortable with you. Thank you. When we visited Hasedera Temple, unfortunately hydrangeas ended their blooming, but we could see some beautiful flowers, whose name I regrettably couldn't tell you at the site. Their name is Agapanthus. I'm happy that I can tell you the flower name at last. Thanks to you, I could know a lot about your country and other great foreign places to travel. I hope that you will have a great time in the rest of your stay in Japan. Shoko

“ Tokyo 6/18/19 ”

We (family of 4- parents and 2 teenagers) enjoyed our tour of Tokyo with Shoko. We feel we were able to see more compared to if we joined an organized tour group. We had her focused personal attention to answering our questions. She is very detail oriented and planned our trip efficiently. She was very prepared on the day of our tour and flexible with some adjustments (additional requests from me) on the the day of.

Shoko:

Ann, Thank you for writing a good review. It was my pleasure that I could guide you. Your family, especially you were always smiling during the tour. That smile really encouraged me. Thanks for being sunny on the day and, especially with your cooperation, I also enjoyed guiding you. I was amazed that your family and you were in great shape. Everyone didn't look tired at all during the tour. If I can help you to understand Japanese culture in this tour, I'm really happy. Have a great time in the rest of your journey!

“ Delightful person, knowledgable guide ”

A wonderful experience thanks to Shoko. Knowledgable, warm, friendly and beyond helpful. She couldn't do enough for us. Would recommend her to anyone. Look forward to a visit from her to us in DC.

Shoko:

It is honor that I could guide you. Everyone of your group is very friendly and warm, too. I'm really happy that with your cooperation and the good weather, the tour ended successfully. It is regrettable that you couldn't see the great view of Mt. Fuji. Maybe, next time. Thanks for your kind words, they encouraged me a lot. Please enjoy the rest of your trip. I hope that you will leave Japan with a lot of wonderful memories.

“ Day in Tokyo ”

Met Shoko as discussed at Yokahama, lovely Lady but as I am disabled she found difficult to hunt down metro stations with lifts or escalators . Would recommend but if you have mobility issues in Tokyo do think twice about getting around as confusing metro lines. I would have to use a coach tour as unable to see the Imperial Palace or Government buildings due to up and down lots of steps ... Shoka is great at listening to your requests..

Shoko:

Hi KEVIN, Thank you for your review, I really appreciate. It is true that Tokyo is not kind to people with issues. It is regrettable that you couldn't see the Imperial Palace and Tokyo Government Building in this tour because of many steps. If I get mail from people with some issues from now on, I will remember you and remind the present situation of Tokyo to him or her. Thank you for everything. I had a great time in sharing with you in this tour. Please say hello to your kind wife, Elizabeth for me. Best regards, Shoko

“ Friendly guide, good with kids ”

We spent 2 mornings with Shoko in Tokyo (family of 2 adults and 2 kids). She was very patient helping us organise an itinerary before the trip, one that would work for our young boys and around lunchtime, which we appreciate. She even brought a nice book and origami for them to play. Shoko’s English is not excellent, so some people might struggle, but we were patient with her and it worked well. She gave us basic historical and factual information about each temple and area we visited (not too detailed information as we didnt have the time anyway), but we left with a basic idea of each area. I assume if you require much more detail and explanations about each area, she can arrange that. Lovely lady :)

Shoko:

Hi Paola, Thank you for writing the review. I was very happy to be with your family. I'm so sorry to hear that you struggled my English. Thank you for your patience. Your review is very useful to show me my problems. I will work hard to try to improve my English. Please say hello to your cute boys and your husband for me. Thank you for everything. Best regards, Shoko
