Miyajima Island, one of the most scenic spots in Japan, has long been regarded as an Island of Gods on the beautiful Seto Inland Sea. It is a romantic and historical island where Itsukushima Shrine, a World Heritage site, is located, along with the Virgin Forest of Mt. Misen, and numerous preserved shrines, temples and historical monuments.
Feel free to personalize this offer with Kazumi.
Miyajima is a small island less than an hour outside the city of Hiroshima. It is a very romantic and relaxing place. It is most famous for its giant torii gate, which at high tide seems to float on the water. The sight is ranked as one of Japan's three best views.
you can walk around Miyajima to see Itsukushima shrine, in the public's mind. Like the torii gate, the shrine's main buildings are built over water, Five story pagoda and Buddist hall.
you can also visit Daishoin temple, one of the most important temples of Shingon Buddhism. It features a variety of buildings, statues and other religious objects for visitors to admire.
There are also wild deer on the island that have become accustomed to people. In the day the deer wander around the island.
Oyster landed in Hiroshima is very big and thick tasty, and Hiroshima is the number one of landing of oysters in Japan. There are some oyster shops that serve grilled oysters and vinegared fresh oysters to visitors in the Miyajima Island.
Okonomiyaki is the most famous as Hiroshima soul food, cooked with superposition of cabbage, bean sprouts, pork, egg and noodles, which is soba or udon, on thin flour dough spread like crepe.

My wife and I were fortunate to have spent a day and a half with Kazumi. One day we spent in Hiroshima and the next day was a half day in Miyajima. Kaz is a delightful, well informed, energetic wonderful person. Her English is excellent and local knowledge superb. We loved her smile and warmth. I would highly recommend touring with Kazumi!
Thank you for your great review, Joel! I am so happy that you enjoyed my tours. It was my pleasure to share my knowledge with you and I really enjoyed conversation with you both. I am looking forward to your paintings. Hope you enjoy Hakone and rest of your staying in Japan. Kazumi
Kazumi was on time to meet us at the station - this was really helpful as we didnt know the station. She was very patient with the group and quickly saw that we all had different interests. She gave us a lot of very interesting information but not too much. She had just the right speed with us. A very pleasant, easy and likable young woman. Without her we would not have seen or understood half the terrible history of Hiroshima
Thank you for your wonderful comment, Anita. Congratulations for the Victory of South Africa in Rugby World Cup. I am sure you all had a great time in Stadium. I was very happy to spend and share my time and knowledge with you. It was very interesting to know about South Africa. I hope I can visit you in South Africa sometime soon. Please say hello to your husband and friends. Love, Kazumi
Was unable to do the tour (not able to do the cruise because of hurricane) -- but Izumi still got in touch and sounded so caring. Will book with her again in the future whenever we plan to go to Hiroshima.
Thank you for your review, Julieta. I am sorry that you couldn’t come to Japan because of Typhoon. I really understand your disappointment. I hope you can come to Japan and Hiroshima near future. I will wait for you here. Kazumi
