2. Hiroshima Castle.
- The castle was completely destroyed in the Atomic Bombing of Hiroshima. The castle was rebuilt in 1958 and made into a historic museum of Hiroshima.

Michiru- san was at the hotel well before time and thanks to her we were able to check in using her mobile phone to get the confirmation email!!!! The tour itself was short but covered all the sites associated with the tragic bombing and her in-depth knowledge helped getting more insights. Unfortunately we could not treat her to a much anticipated lunch , but guided us to a wonderful place where we had okonomiyaki... She gave us all the guidance required for spending the evening and booking tickets for airport bus etc... Dilip
Hi Dilip & Family, Thank you for your brilliant review! I’m so glad to hear you enjoyed your stay in Hiroshima, and my local taste ‘Okonomiyaki.’ Next time I sure recommend you to stay in Miyajima, a gorgeous island. Of cause! After the completion of the renovation.Hope to see you in near future! With Lots of Love, Michi
just a wonderful guide! Thoroughly professional, organized, excellent English. Speaks slowly and carefully, easy to understand. Very knowledgeable, totally in touch with the group at all times. Excellent leadership. Terrific itinerary. Would use her skills over and over agian!
Thank you for your excellent feedback. It was my pleasure being a member of your group. I was a little bit worried about the weather, but everything went so smooth. I was so glad to hear that you adore my country. We have four seasons, so the scenery looks different in each season. You will never get tired of our country! Hope to see you again. With Lots of Love, Michi
Michiru was great. We had an amazing day with her. She took care of everything and the communication with her was so easy. We did Hiroshima and Miyajima (day trip from Kyoto) and I can tell you that we would not have been able to see all the things we saw in one day without Michiru. She was so nice and helpful and has great knowledge about Hiroshima Bombing. We were not sure if it was worth it to do a day trip to Hiroshima but I can assure you that Michiru made it worth it and I strongly recommend to hire her for the day trip we did, you won't regret it. Thank you Michiru !
Hi Francois, Thank you for hiring me as your guide in Hiroshima & writing a wonderful review! I’m so pleased to hear that you liked my tour & our local taste, 'Okonomiyaki'. Hope you come back to Japan & find more charms! With Lots of Love, Michi
We highly recommend our guide, Michiru, who was responsible and nice and created a great itinerary for us for the day. We adjusted our plans several times because of not knowing the train schedule, and we appreciated Michi's flexibility in adjusting our itinerary to fit the time we had. From the moment we saw Michi waiting for us at the train station in Hiroshima to the time we left, she took care of us and offered helpful insight into the history and experience of people in Hiroshima. In creating a presentation for us about the legacy successors and descendants of those who experienced the a-bomb and its aftermath, Michi clearly thought a lot about how to present information to help us learn about the experience in a sensitive and caring way. Her tour of the exhibits of the Peace Memorial... read more
Thank you very much, Susan & Family. I really glad to be your guide in Hiroshima. Hope that we will be the last generation of meeting a-bomb witnesses. For this we need to learn the history and past. Thank you for visiting Hiroshima to learn a part of our history. Hope you come back to Hiroshima & visit Miyajima, a sacred island with me! With Lots of Love, Michi
We met Michi at the train station in Hiroshima. We had traveled on the Shinkansen from Osaka for the day. We found the Peace Memorial and Museum to be sobering, and Michi allowed us enough time to absorb the information, and particularly relate it for our two teenagers. She told us her legacy story which was powerful. Lunch was terrific, okonomiyaki, a Hiroshima specialty. For the afternoon, we went to Miyajima island to see the shrine and visit some shops. Michi never rushed us, and gave us lots of information about the area and the culture. We had an enjoyable day and recommend Michi highly.
Hi Nanette, Thank you for taking your time to write such a great review. I was really glad sharing time with you in my hometown, Hiroshima. Also thank you for sharing the experience of a 17 year-old girl. Hope you come back to see the brand-new floating tori gate after the Olympic games and find more charms of Hiroshima. With Lots of Love, Michi
