Azusa is the ideal guide...,.knowledgeable, patient, caring and an excellent ambassador for Japan. She made sure that we saw the highlights of both Miyajima and Hiroshima. She spoke excellent English and very flexible. She took our pictures and truly gave us beautiful memories.
Dear Cora san I am so thankful for your kind words. Your are all warm-hearted people,open-minded and very easy to talk to. I felt like a member of your group rather than a guide. I wanted to go with you. You said this was the first visit to Hiroshima for all of you. Though the hot weather was a little hard and the deer looked a bit exhausted, I hope this tour would be one of your best memories. Bon Voyage! Azusa Arita
Thank you Azusa san for a geat overall experience inspite of the weather not being very cooperative (raining most of the day). You shared a lot of interesting information and made sure our group got the most out of our trip. We highly recommend your services to other travelers.
Dear Vineet san Thank you so much for your kind words. The reviews I receive motivate me. You are all cheerful and jolly people. Though the weather was not so good and unfortunately the Torii gate was covered, your people seemed to appreciate life as it happens. That was a fantastic time for me to be with you. I wish you all the best ! Sincerely, Azusa Arita
Visiting Hiroshima is bound to be a moving and also disturbing experience. Azusa was a great companion and guide on this journey. She put together an excellent itinerary, including the use of JR bus (free with rail pass), and she accommodated our preferences both in the planning and on the spot. We learned a lot from Azusa and appreciated our conversations, and instead of feeling overwhelmed and lost, we were able to participate actively in the lantern floating, thus sharing in the common appeal of so many Japanese and visitors for global peace.
Dear Helene san Thank you so much for your kind review. The tour day was so humid and the heat was killing us. I apologize you for making both of you walk long way in such a muggy weather and finishing up the tour earlier than scheduled. It was me who learned a lot from you. You knew well what is needed and not needed in your tour. You told me about your sea kayaking experience in Miyajima Island, which was very inspiring for me. I have never thought of that activity in my tour plan. I again realized that tour guides should try as best as possible to match guests’ desires. I wish you all the best and success in the future
Azusa (Ari) was our tour guide for our extended family group of 9. We had the most wonderful day. She is knowledgeable, engaging, flexible, funny and a great story teller. Highly recommend her.
Dear Manoj san Thank you so much for the wonderful day ! I was so happy to spend a great time with such a close and caring family. Especially I was impressed by your father's great sense of Japanese jokes. " Sekai wa futarino tameni." Though he stayed in Japan only one year long time ago, how fluently he speaks Japanese ! And all 3 boys were so lovely and full of curiosity. I was glad that they listened to me with attention. I wish you all the happiness in the world ! Azusa Arita
Azusa was great. She was very easy to communicate with leading up to our trip and during our short visit. prior to visiting, she proposed an itinerary that maximized our time in Hiroshima. We visited Hiroshima on a day trip from Kyoto. She met us on the train platform and escorted us from place to place on our shortened and self imposed time schedule (4.75 hours - better if you allow for 6-6.5 hours) before returning us back to the train station. She was very knowledgeable and informative on the sites we were visiting and the history of Japan. She was an absolute pleasure to be with, she listened to our cues to move onto the next site, and kept us on schedule throughout the day. A day well spent.
Dear Ross san Thank you so much for your heart touching message. It was my pleasure to have a great time with you in Hiroshima. You are so sweet and smart couple. You clearly knew what you needed in the tour. That absolutely helped our tour go smoothly. And in the museum, I was so impressed that you friendly spoke to the Japanese students writing reports about the exhibit. They looked so happy to be spoken to and lively communicated with you. This must be a memorable experience for them. Interacting with international people should be the essential part of the peaceful world. Thanks to you, I was able to reconfirm my work for what it really is. This tour was short but very impressive. I wish both of you all the best of luck ! Azusa Arita
