The possibility of viewing Mt.Fuji in summer is below 20% and there is no snow cap on it. Not available on Mondays.
Please ask me the availability of this tour before you book it.
(Oct. 25th, 2019) Due to the aftermath of Typhoon 19th, the mountain train will be suspended until next year which is substituted by a bus. Options D, E and Special#6 are not available, now.
(Oct. 25th, 2019) The Owakudani Ropeway is available, but we are not allowed to walk outside of the Owakudani station due to potential possibility of small eruption. The other ropeway to Mt. Koma to view Mt. Fuji is operating but you have to take my special optionl#1 to visit there.
1. View of Mt. Fuji; The possibility of viewing Mt Fuji depends on the season, more than 60% in winter while less than 10% in summer. But there are other interesting places in Hakone such as cruising Lake Ashi and Open Air Museum.
2. Transportations; I usually take public transportations but I can arrange a chartered taxi from Odawara if you want. It will cost about 40,000 JPY per five hours up to 4 persons including me.
3. Congestion of transportations; Hakone will be very crowded during the first week of May (Golden week holidays) and weekend days of November (Autumn color season). But I will choose the most efficient and comfortable way.
4. Suspension of the Ropeway; The ropeway to Owakudani is sometimes closed when the sulfur gas concentration of the area exceeds 0.2ppm or during severe weather conditions. In the case of suspension, I would recommend you to visit the Venetian Glass Museum by a bus. read more

We spent one full day with Yuki touring Tokyo and enjoyed it very much! Yuki was very organized and suggested a terrific lunch spot. We had a day in Tokyo on our own and then joined Yuki again for a morning tour of Tokyo including a delicious sushi lunch. He then traveled with us to our cruise ship in Yokohama. It couldn’t have been easier! Thanks again Yuki, Margaret and Jeff
Dear Margaret, Thank you for taking my tour. The sushi restaurant is one of my favorite in Tsukiji. I hope you have enjoyed cruising around Japan. Yuki
My daughter and I did an overnight tour to Takayama and Shiragawa organised by Yuki san. Takayama is lovely but a bit touristy and he went out of his way to show us other aspects of the old town which we appreciated. We also fined very well on Hida beef at a very new and excellent restaurant he sought out. Very reasonable price and amazing food. Yuki is fluent, patient and fun. I would recommend him to any traveller. Thank you Yuki. Lynne and Stacey
Dear Lynne, Thank you for taking my tour. You were the second ones who took my tour of Takayama. I am very glad if you have enjoyed Takayama tour. Best regards, Yuki
We thoroughly enjoyed the guided tour by Yuki to hakone. Yuki was very responsive with our enquiries prior to our trip and took initiative to provide updates for the trip. He was very attentive and flexible and provide us with different options and suggestion to ensure we have a pleasant trip. Thanks to his recommendation, we had one of the best soba in japan! We will surely recommend him to anyone who may be looking for a guide.
Dear Michelle, Thank you for taking my tour of Hakone. It was my first trip after Hakone was hit by a strong Typhoon with record breaking rainfall. We planed to visit Mt. Koma but we changed the plan as it was hazy and partly cloudy. Instead, I took you to Ubako to see Mt. Fuji and visited Gora Park. I am glad to finish our tour without serious problems except the 40 min waiting for taking photos at the Torii gate on the lake. Best regards, Yuki
Yuki was a wonderful and very knowledgeable guide. He was on time, spoke great English and is very polite and fun. He was very accommodating to our schedule, showed us the ropes with public transportation; took us to a great place for lunch and even hunted down a very special item we were looking for. Thank you Yuki!
Dear Marcia, Thank you for taking my tour. Kiyosumi Garden is my favorite place with its quietness and unique setups of stones. Tower Knife is the best place to buy Japanese kitchen knives. Please give my best regards to other members, too. Yuki
Yuki worked very hard to make sure our group of 5 could visit the three gardens we had planned to see as well as the outer fish market and the Akihabara area. Yuki helped us order lunch in a restaurant and made sure we returned safely back to our hotel at the end of the day.
Dear Susan, Thank you for taking my tour. Yuki
