Overview

This tour features the rustic beauty in southen Fukushima prefecture.
Sukagawa Peony Garden and Ookanbara Azalea Garden are very popular spots among many tourists.The peak bloom time is early May.
Shirakawa is a gateway to Tohoku district and an old castle city with beautiful parks and delicious local cuisines.We use public transportation such as buses, taxi and local train.

What to Expect

You can make a day trip from Tokyo if taking Tohoku Shinkansen
From Koriyama, Sukagawa is 15 minutes by train, Shirakawa is 40 munutes by train.

You can choose a few places to visit from the following sights.
Of course I can arrange your itinerary on your request.

(Sukagawa & Kagamiishi area)
1 Sukagawa Peony Garden
About 7,000 of the peony flowers and other seasonal flowers can be seen from late April to middle May.
2 Ookanbara Azalea Garden(Highly Recommended)
You can see 3,500 Azaleas, 2,500 Rhododendrons and 2,000 Peonies from late April to early June in the 300 year-old garden.
3 Yoshimine Wisteria Garden
Wisteria arbors can be seen in early May.
4 Mushi- tech world (Science Museum)
It is popular especially among children who love insects like rhinoceros beetles and stag beetles.
5 Iwase Farm
Of course cows can be seen. Peony festival is held in June.

(Shirakawa Area)
1 Komine Castle
A simbol building of the old city.
2 Nanko Park(Recommended)
The popular park was constructed in 1801 by a local lord. There are an old shrine, a Japanese gargen,cozy cafes and restaurants around Lake Nanko. You can appreciate the various landscapes throughout the year.
3 Flower World(Shirakawa Flower World & Nasu Flower World)
You can be relaxed surrouded by lovely flowers such as Tulips in the garden.
4 Local Cuisine
Especially Shirakawa Ramen Noodle is popular.
5 Daruma Doll Painting Experience
Daruma Dolls of Shirakawa are well known.

Flowers in full bloom may not be seen by weather condition.

We will use public transportation.

In Sukagawa, we will take a taxi.

Can I make changes after I book?

Yes! If you need to make changes such as removing or adding someone to your booking or changing the date or time of your tour, contact us by phone or email
