What to Expect

The comparison of the old building of Dazaifu Shrine(built in 1591 ) and the new and unique Kyushu National Museum(built in 2005 ) makes this Dazaifu tour impressive. Here in Dazaifu, plum flower is the symbol flower. Let's enjoy pretty spots of Dazaifu!
Many nice gift shops and sweets shops attract us on the approach pass to the shrine. It's really enjoyable to hang around here.

“ Fun day in Daizafu ”

Junko was very nice. She met us at our hotel and took us by train to Daizafu. Unfortunately, One of the 3 temples we were supposed to see was closed so we shopped a little instead. We had a great lunch in the village.

Junko:
Dear Cathy, Thank you for your kind comment. I'm sorry that Komyo-Zenji was closed. It is a Buddhist Zen temple and sometimes closes suddenly without notice. I'm going to note this in my tour information. I also enjoy the tour to Dazaifu with you and your family, because you were really interested in history of Kyushu. I hope you will come back to Japan again!
